I've got a JHH F-86 canopy to try (SOON!) on mine... I'll let you know how it works.

hi, does anyone know of a video of the MK II sport jet flying by Giancarlo Genta? I had the kit cut by Buzz Evens of SunSetmodels in Florida. if you need a kit cut CNC Buzz is the one to do it. his prices are awesome and he is a wiz. he has a very nice F86 kit, a big one with fiberglass fuse for $600.00 the whole kit! give him a call at 352-304-0059 he has a A-10 warthog he about to release too. he kitted a giant SR71 BlackBird, and he had a very nice all wood F15 hes thinking about re-kiting and he kitted a F4 they were for 5 inch fans. and hes going to make them for electric. give him a call, he can cut any kit cheaper that all the custom kit cutters! please let me know if someone has a video of the MK II flying. I'm putting a Rossi 81 and Byron Fan in mine. I only like Nitro fan jets as far as owning a jet. electrics and turbines are not for me. I love nitro DF jets! thank you, Gary Troutman (flyncrazy)

On mine, I had to move the CG back 1/4" and enlarge the elevator width by 1/4" to get better flaring on landing.. it flys very nice

Hello. I too am very fond of the nitro DF jets. I have a set of Eagle MK II plans that I've had for ~18 or so years. Looking for some motivation to get mine started. Do you have any pictures??? Thanks...

hi there, I only have the pictures that are on the web. the blue and multi colored MKII. I have a kit cut of it but have not started it. I sure love that Jet! I also have a bunch of Byron fan units and all the other fan units and about 40 DF engines. I have a Formost 150 I put a BVM K-B 82 in it. and I have to finish it. I have a Leading Edge models T33 kit and a D-B T2 Buckeye kit. id love to have someone frame the MKII for me but cannot afford the $s to have that done. I have been flying RC over 35 yrs now and glow DF jets have always been my passion! I flew them from 1983 until 1991 and got out of them when glow DF lost popularity. but that's all ill do from here on out. I wish I had more info on the Jet but cannot find anything other that what you seen. Gary

Cool!!! I read the article in the 1994 RCM magazine numerous times. How does the jet fly, in your opinion? How fast / slow is it? Any bad tendencies? I am trying to get motivated to start the planning for it, but I first need to find room. I also have an old Regal Eagle, with a Byron fan & OS 91 in it. Rather slow, IMO. I bought it from a hobby shop in Florida in 2000; haven't flown it in over 10 years! I may need to resurrect it! Other than that, it really drew a crowd at the field and sparked conversation. Thank...

the MKII Jet flys great, but you have to fly it from take off to landing. power on all the time landing decent with power to control the sink and flaps/flaps/flaps. but that's the way I like it. a challenge! id love to have another regle eagle Jet. I had a couple of them and they were great! kit cutters inc cuts a kit of the MKII Jet $200.00 full wood kit with plans. my regles were slow too, but I just loved them, both had Byron fans and OS 77s. the MKII is about a 135.00 MPH Jet. good luck on the build.
