Congratulations Tomas. A super maiden!
I was to maiden my JL F-16 today (MW54). However, the weather changed to very low cloud with a persistent heavy drizzle. Very frustrating.
If you would, could you show your solution to the nose gear door actuation? I must admit that I’m struggling to find a solution.
Best regards,
Eric Banner

Ah yes. I’ve read the credits this time. Congratulations Lasse. Still a great maiden!
Couldn’t quite make out if you had any flap deployed for landing?
Thanks for the link to the build pictures Tomas.
Best regards,
Eric

Hi guys,
some info about my JL F-16 1/8 scale
The fuselage is very nice light and strong, the ply is lazer cut and have a good qualitet, the landing gear looks good and works. The wings have double carbon spars,
the paint from the factory was “ok”.
Instruction,manual (whats that!!!) dont exist.
Elevator I use 2 of JR DS 8511 servo.1 at each side
Rudder JR DS 3328
Aileron JR DS 3328
I use Jettronics valve for the landing gear and doors.
I must say the JL F-16 1/8 scale flys great with jet cat P-60 and most” importantly” easy to land.
Without question this ARF kit is an outstanding value for the money..

RE: JetLegend F-16 (1/8) Testflight
yup..
You might be able to stuff it in by carving away material from the mounting rails, but if you need more power than demonstrated in the video with the P-60, a Wren supersport or a p-70 would be better options.....

Hi Lasse...
Nice pics of the high nose attitude landing....
What kind of control throws are u using on the JL F16?
Do u set and use the ailerons as flaps for the landing?
There is a CG point on the full size plans that comes with the plane...is that CG position good enough for the first test flight?
thanks..

RE: JetLegend F-16 (1/8) Testflight
Great pics, video and info Lasse! Congratulations on the successful maiden flight!
Any other pertinent info or tips re the assembly/construction of the model would be appreciated by all of us on this forum. Could you tell us what CG and surface control throws you used for the flights and wheather you made any other modifications to it at all?
I received my grey camo version with the stores/missile pack a few weeks ago and am about to make a start assembling it, very pleased with the quality and value for money so far. Am going to fit it with a Jetcat P70 kero, JR 8411 elevators, JR 3421 rudder, Hitec 5125 ailerons, Hitec HS80 on the nose steering and Jetronic valves to operate the undercarriage.
