John...

NOW can you answer the question on Gear, Brakes and doors..

Once you know what model you are building and what the gear sequence is post again and you will be assisted in your choice of valves.

Best regards

John

Is this a custom scheme? This is a beautiful plane, and half the price of my C-ARF Flash!?!

Who is your authorized agent in the USA for the jet kits and your retract gear?
For Jet-1A our US importer will be Camlex
CamLex Enterprises Oregon
they will soon tell more about it.

the importer for Fei Bao jets is RCjets.com

the Special Landing gear oleo,s are Designed for the Velox
contains of 3 Jet-1A Oleo,s
the rest is supplied by Fei Bao. (brakes and main wheels and retracts)

Wagner and me are working out the last details so that he can sell those oleo,s specialy designed for the Velox
in europe these come STANDARD with the kit , that is why our price is a bit higher then the US price.
also dont forget in europe we have the add -on 19% sales tax , this is why we and the USA have such a huge difference in prices.
rcjets and digitech also have interest in working together on Fei Bao sales and future projects.
we are also currently both testing projects and exchanging data for the Fei Bao products.
i believe that a good relation ship only bennefits the products.

the pictures show the oleo set and the feibao retracts suplied by us.
the front wheel is also Jet-1A .
the mains are from Fei Bao also the brakes.
maybe this landing gear will also fit the Elan :-)
the front oleos shown is also the standard we sell for the Rookie II and the Boomerang XL
so it is VERY strong more :-)

ask any boomerang xl user..

Regards Sandor

Guys

Received my Feibao retracts / wheels and Jet 1A oleos from Digitech today. The quality is first class and operation of the retracts is very smooth.

Ok

Today I got the landing gear installed and operating, air up / air down works very smoothly and superb Jet 1A oleos, all air lines installed and equipment tray, steering servo etc. installed. Only problem was the opening in the main gear mounts was a little on the large side making the retract mounting screws quite close to the edge of the plywood. I decided to add 6mm ply doubler plates which resolved the problem, the wheels fitted perfectly in the fuselage openings only a little section of the strut opening had to be removed to clear the springs. That's it for now, off to play golf this weekend, resume build on Tuesday.

Wow, I've never seen a steering setup like that. The cable makes a u-turn? I'm sure it's fine, but to me it looks like the weak link that could be compromised. What's your input?[8D]

It looks like this was necessary as the strut goes forward and it allows the servo to be upright and accesible, plus the strut won't catch the wires, pretty clever setup.

Yeah, I REALLY like how open the layout is. I would think of putting a half circle of ply in there to brace the wire in case of a less-than-perfect landing. But, hey, who doesn't land perfect every time!

P80

The Velox is slightly bigger than the Bobcat and plenty of people are flying that on P120's. Personally I would not go bigger than 20-22lbs of thrust on this model but I am not a speed freak!

Ok

The Velox is almost finished, just some tidying of cables and turbine install to complete. Will be ready to go early next week. The build took around 22 hours.
