80 oz. is more than enough. I have a Wren SS in mine with a 64 oz. tank. I fly 6 minutes and have enough reserve for two aborted landings. With a Wren 70 and 80 oz. of fuel you should be able to fly about 9 minutes and have enough reserve for two aborted landings.

Of course it depends on how hard you fly it, so your mileage may vary.

No....sorry....no plans to build a mold.

In the works are two sizes of drop tanks for smoke fluid. A 3 inch and a 4 inch diameter tank. Also making a composite pylon mount.

They will be available in almost any length a person wants !!

Can't wait to see those!

Just bit the bullet and ordered the rcfoam.com carbon tube. Should be able to finish up the glassing on the wings that way.

Still looking at Derrick's main tank and will be really looking at the drop tanks.........my plane is going to have smoke!

Just had maiden flight with my Falcon today at Luffenham, just got the flight in before thick snow came!

Flight went ok, ailerons need to have rates reduced but seeing it was -1deg C and my hands were begining to resemble a block of ice it was not too bad for the first one

Wren 54 started up first time and ran perfect.

Picture of the snow as we were handing back the airfield key to the barracks main security gate.

Alan

ps I'am not that fat just had thermals, two t shirts, artic top, fleece and top coat! had the car window open on way home to cool off![sm=shades_smile.gif]

Thanks Mike,
as I was flying I could see the sky getting darker and the snow fell minutes after landing. At one point the Falcon blended in with the sky + my fingers were on the point of not moving so I was not too sure which way it was going! Managed to sus out which way it was heading....
I must say thanks to Nigel for pinching his design for the engine mount, at least i changed the colour!

I am not a man who likes a swally but I thought I saw once a bottle of spirits/wine coming in a polystyrene case/tube, anyone get similar at xmas ? something similar would be good for storing a gas can in during the winter.

Does that bomb do something other than simply fall? What's the little nose cone for?

The nose cover is foam rubber to protect the bomb on dropping.

The add mentions filling with powder but not sure. They are very inexpensive so I figured I'd order a set and see what its about.

They are excellent value, many of our guys buy lipo's from them, and seem to be very good

They are on the way. Typically takes about a week or so to get to the states. I had to order some CF cloth anyway so these fit in the allowed weight.

Looking at some other pics it appears the bombs split in half. Will be cool to mix some white and red chalk dust in em!

They also include the bomb portion of the mount so you can make your own bombs or missiles or whatever.

Stab is glassed, just needs sanding and primer. All control surfaces are ready for panel lines.

Booms are about 1/2 done with glassing.

I found a cool use for the stock wing tube. If you havent built one of these yet, this one works good. The pipe is a cheap stove pipe from the hardware store, $3.00. Ive got 3 starts on it so far.
