Before there where Bobcats there where Falcons. They have since been refitted with turbines and are excellent airframes to learn on and just an all around everyday jet without the cost of the Bobcat. The Modelbau Tornado is basically the same thing. If you want to get into jets and not worry about smacking up an airframe that will cost you at least 4K this is it. And yes they do have flaps and retracts.
They wont take the pounding of a bobcat but you aren't paying that kind of money either.
I have two of them and they are a blast to fly.

Keith Sparks at: www.parkflyerplastics.com is offering Falcon 120/Tornado/Navy Cat canopies for sale. Look under canopies for the Falcon 120. I will be offering cockpit tubs that will fit the Falcon 120, Tornado and Navy Cat models. I will post photos and prices in the next few days.

Guys:
I will have the cockpit tubs in hand sometime next week. They will be offered in an unpainted white ABS (0.030" thick) for $18 each plus shipping. IF interested, please E_MAIL me (no PM's please) and let me know you want one. In the subject line please put Cockpit Tub or something similar so I don't miss it. Once the tubs are in hand I will contact each of you for shipping and payment info.
Bill: I test flew the Navy Cat today (turbine powered) and it flew well after some trimming adjustments. Flying it with a P-70 size engine at 19 lbs. 1 ounce. Flies well, just like my Falcon 120EDF. The gear I got with the combo package works well. Hydraulic struts are really nice.
I have an assembly thread here:

Thanks again,
Ed

I have just ordered 2 x replacement canopies for my falcons from Ken at KMRC Jets. Made from good heavy duty materials.
I'll attach a photo.
Ken is almost ready to offer his cockpit tub for the Falcon and it's relations.
KMRC Jets is at http://www.kingtechturbinesaustralia.com.au/

My son turned up at the field the other day with a GoPro camera. He strapped it under the front of the Falcon fuselage and I went and committed aviation.
The result wasn't too bad so I posted it on uTube. The video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8E3Iqa3-r8
The field is Loganholme Aeromodellers Radio Control Society (LARCS) at Loganholme just south of Brisbane, Queensland.
The Super Falcon is now nearly 12months old and has 110 flights on 55 flying days. I have another nearly ready to fly.

Here is an update on the new Falcon.
Wings and booms/tail surfaces are done, covered and decals applied.
Fuse is painted and decals applied. Fitting out about to commence.
The new nosewheel formers and the battery tray shaped and ready for fitting.
Woodwork done by my son Michael.
Cheers

They look great and even more important, they feel great. They are thicker and more supple than the originals and I am sure they will stand up to normal use far better than the as well.
The postal tube worked and everything survived the trip very well.
Thanks again Ken,

Thanks, it has been a long build but I have been flying my first Falcon and been in no rush.
Thanks Dave, I haven't seen a Falcon done as a "sort of" Sea Vixen before. I thought I was being original
Richard from the Tingalpa club is doing his in similar markings but he is doing some mods and using a more original colour.

Falcon 120/Navy Cat/Tornado Cockpit Tubs
Hello all:
I have had some more requests for the cockpit tubs for the plane. I am willing to make another run but I need orders for at least 8-10. I have made posts on here and on RCG asking for interest. I have orders for three and would need at least five more to make another run. Tubs would be $18 + shipping. Shipping in the continental US is about $8. IF interested please e-mail me (no PM's please) at: [email protected]
Thanks,
Ed

HI,
I'm a fellow "Falconer". Have one turbine powered built and is flying. However, I'd like to know where to buy one these days since Nitro, General & Modelbau, etc haven't had these in stock anymore -for a long, long time. TrendTimes says they have them in, but they have very BAD reviews, and don't trust them.
