Rice paper and turbine...great combo. Man, she was laying down a thick trail of smoke, you should have seen her. Then all of a sudden, she just fell from the sky. Funny.
Hang in there. Sounds like you have found a supplier for a "real" falcon 120

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Falcon fliers,
I have some questions regarding the retract, strut, wheel and brakes you are using on your falcons.
Has anyone found a combo, with brakes, that is thin enough to fully retract into the wings? I have Behotec retracts, struts and brakes and was unable to get the strut retracted without the axel hitting the top wing sheeting, so I had to shim the retract unit and almost the full diameter of my strut hangs out of the wing. I am particularly interested in the Airpower 250 retracts and if users are happy with these units. I am working on another Falcon and would like to clean and lighten it up a bit.
Thanks,
Cody

I got the 2.25" ones. Right now, he is out of stock on them.
I have never used the spring air 3/8" ones, but I used the 7/16" ones and was not impressed. Had a lot of slop in the "knuckle" when the retract was pushed in some. The robarts do not have near the slop that these ones had. Make sure you get robart ones. There is a guy on ebay selling struts that look exactly like robarts, but are not. They have more play in them.
I extended my robarts about an inch longer by using 3/8" alum stock and having my buddy trim some of it down to fit into the strut. However, if you have the wire spring air retracts, this would not be a problem at all. I do not use the entire length of the wheel wells as they were too long. I mounted my front one full length, then used that as a guid to give me my proper spacing. I think I move my wheel wells in about an inch.
Hobby city has some struts that are very cheap in price. Have not heard much about them, but they look like they would work.
Go to hobby city and then do a search for "shock" and you will find them.
