Thanks for that, at least you read my post correctly, so to check the C of G with the bare fus 2" behind the center of the front spar hole it is, my favorite expession is "Whatever butters your Turnips" just has a nice gentle feel about it.

My question is about after care. Do you drain the main and UAT tanks if all fuel is not used in a flight. Do you drain fuel from the fuel pump? Or, do you leave remaining fuel in the system (I do have a shut off valve to the turbine which I closed after running it).

It all accords how long you are going to leave the aircraft before using it again, paraffin and petrol have a hardening effect on Tygon and will eventually make the tubing very stiff, if you are going to leave it a long time then drain everything, if you are planning to fly again within say 14 days then leave it as it was when you shut down, but plug the vent hole to stop fuel draining out in the car/house etc, personnaly I drain everything down it stops the smell permiating my workshop and I repurge the system at home before going to the field.

Yes that is true, but then I cannot take my mates as passengers!! I can put the booms on with 2 people and electric screwdriver in approx 3 mins!!!!!!!

Australia is suffering through a great tragedy. The lack of rain and extreme heat has contributed to one of the worse fire seasons in their history. Many deaths have occurred.
Please keep the wonderful people of Australia in your thoughts.

Thanks Bob for your thoughts on Australia's worst natural disaster. Down south here we are in a very bad bushfire area and smoke haze from the fires still floats over the cities. There are volunteers from all over the world still fighting the fires as I write this and especially Americans who are flying some of the fire bombing aircraft. Let's not turn the discussion away from this magnificent sport jet, but us Aussies certainly appreciate the thoughts.

If you are getting your flaps down too approx 90deg then you need about 10mm up aileron, try this at height to see if you still have aileron aurthority before you use it to land with, different airframes need different settings, weight gear down or up etc.

That's unreal.
I've been inching mine closer to the max and haven't had any troubles yet.
Perhaps they aren't as flimsy as some would like you to beleive.

So much for what I know. I have a NIB Rabitt that I thought would be too much for my F-120.[X(] I think i will just stick with the Super Bee and putt around at 155mph for 9 1/2 minutes. To each his own I guess.

I don't think very many are using crow on their Falcon 120's. It's really not needed. With 45 degrees of flap you can slow it down to almost walking speed when landing.

Crow braking can be very usefull for steep approach's into a restricted site especially if you can get the flaps over 75deg when they start to act as almost speed limiting brakes.

I actually bought the rabbit back in Nov and still havent decided on an airframe for it. I know the Falcon would be a lot more fun with it installed but the Bee is a pretty good match for it. My airfram is pretty light at 13.8 lbs with full UAT so it goes pretty good. If I dont have an airframe by the time my bee needs service, I might try the rabbit on it. It would be an easy change and no cg adjustment.

made it back to the runway old school carrier style.
I was still turning into the wind as I touched down.
Without any residual thrust it sure slows down in a hurry.

I have the latest Falcon 120 Pro (not started) and a Ram 750 in a box. There's a lot of info on this thread, some have done some mods and some others, I was wondering if you would mind posting the turbine you're using, the fuel tank and a brief rundown on the mods you have made?

Struts are Robart 652 Offsets - 2 rights and 1 left
Wheels & Brakes are from Tams
Servos are Hitec 85MG's for the Rudders and Elevator, Futaba 3003's on Ailerons & Flaps and Hitec 82's that I had laying around for retract & brake valves.
Fuel tank is a 64oz juice bottle
CG is dead on 13 inches back from the leading edge at the fuse.
The only mods to the airframe are epoxy reinforcement of the retract area and I routed out the servo locations and used the servo mounting covers from Hobby Lobby.
Here's a video of what I believe was it's fifth or sixth flight.
