Here the same file embedded into this thread.

I am building the same Jet and I am following your PDF guide, I have a doubt about the white gelcoat you use in the surface and the thinner. Could you explain about this? Methods of spray (gun paint, or other, gealcoat and thinner brand, etc)
Thanks in advance.
By the way, great job you did.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
I am having a few of these laser cut from 1.5mm aluminium to suit 90 - 100mm turbine diameter.
Mine will be for a Wren 54 / supersport but the bracket can be bent to close up or open up to suit diameter.
Rear edge of base is cut out slightly if people want to increase the thrust angle but this bracket will be made with 5 degrees as people seem to agree on this forum thread that 5 degrees is about right.
The base plate and turbine mount bracked wont be drilled so you can drill to suit your own turbine bracket spacings etc.

Hi Paul, nice looking Falcon! Do you know if many of the jet flyers from Perth are coming over to Adelaide next month for Jet Action 2011?

Gday Paulaus, nice looking Falcon. Did yours come with the redbull scheme? Best looking one Ive seen so far. Its the only thing Im not really sold on is the colour schemes they come in.
I was thinking of glassing the wings, booms, hori stab ect and doing my own paint scheme. I figured I might a well considering I will open up the wing any way to add strength.
Anybody done this? If so what will the weight penalty be? I reckon it wont affect flt performance much, considering how well mannerd the Falcon is.
Suggestions?
cheers
Matt

that jet has been completely glassed, strengthened and basically reengineered to make it turbine worthy.. auw is ~ 6.8kg, without fuel.. with no wind and no flaps it is hesitant to get off the ground, but with stage 1 flaps and a headwind its straight up..
This is actually my first turbine, so getting used to the lag in the turbine is interesting but managed my first landing yesterday at dusk..
The falcon looks great, but there is a lot of work to get it there!!!

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Hi Paulas,
Very nice, amazing you have kept the weight down, with all your mods, i think mine comes out at around 7kgs dry, but with heavy home made jet.
The standard engine setup normally points down (playing it safe here, no mention of upthrust or down thrust), about 5 degrees not 7, but others have the engine mounted striaght. With 7 degrees the nose is being pushed down on the take off run, a reduced angle might assist takeoff performance. Also the nose does need to be slightly high when sitting on the ground to get off quickly, which is why i built the extending nose leg, great for take off on short grass strips, then reduce leg length for landing, it sits down positively during the landing roll out.
You have put in a lot of work over 6 months to get the result you were looking for and you must be very pleased.
I personally like the black/white and the orange/white standard colour schemes, i think they really set the lines of the plane off well.
For prospective buyers/flyers and those new to turbine flying, the Falcon can be built very rapidly, my fastest is 1 week, while working away from home in a hotel room, from start to flying. There are some basic things to check like glue joints in critical areas and the nose gear and wing gear mounts ( same as any other ARFT) and the model will fly well as standard in a scale like manner, not unlimited G senario. If you need the out and out performance and high G flying, then maybe re-engineering is the way to go.
kind regards Tim

Yes, I understand about travel costs from Perth. Giggo normally makes it over with his Falcon, but with so many events now in Australia, one has to get very picky with which ones to attend.
I wonder if he still has this one?

Guys have you ever tried that turbine extinguisher. How it works? Actually I have my research all about that stuff and I hope also to have that one. Coz it's useful in our school for camping. Especially when we are going in a camp fire presentation. Coz one time one of our lightweight tents was burn during our camp fire presentation. and even we're flushing water it didn't off coz we are using gasoline to fire that wood.

Hi kevin, I carry a CO2 tyre inflator for Bicycle tryes in my pocket, It will extinguish a fire and will blow over an engine if required, they are cheap and available from bike shops. Do not use the very small nozzzel it is very visious, unless you are blowing the engine over. cheers tim

Hi Tim,
Thank you very much of your very good suggestion.
Actually, i want to try CO2 inflator. Is it working?

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
I am soon starting my build on my Falcon v1. This tread is very very nice, but also very long to read. Have someone made a pdf-file with does and dont's on the v1? (like atomix has done on his build of the v2).
I am looking for hints and helps on the parts that I should look out for and what to strengthen etc etc.
I'm to use a Wren Supersport in mine. The consensus on the angel seems to be 5 degrees downthrust, but that makes it a bit hard to rotate some say? Any downsides to use only 0-2 degrees downthrust?
My grasstrip is rather bumpy :-( so need it to get airborne quickly ;-)
Thanks in advance.
Regards from Gandalv
