Hello Ed,
Glad to see you back on deck,, I hope you have fully recovered.
The new tubs look ok, the addition of the optional second pilot is a good idea.
Look forward to seeing more.

thanks for the reply.
Still not over the illness but doing better each day. My muscle function in the left side of my face is getting a little better each day but the main problem right now is the blurred vision from the scratched cornea. Ophthalmologist thinks about another month and it will be fine. Neurologist also says about 3-4 more weeks and all should be cleared up.
With regards to the tubs, my thoughts were to allow a "second seat option" and provide a few bit and let the modeler add any additional details they wish to add.

Hi Ed,
The new tubs look great. But form me, I like the old style better. I think squeezing 2 pilots under the canopy will be a stretch as is a tight space already.
Either way is fine.
Glad to see you are getting your health back.
All the best,
Larry

I am working on a mold for a single seat tub but if you need a tub, the 2 seat will work. the only thing on the 2 seat is the instrument panel. I also provide a set back and another piece that can be used as an instrument panel for those wanting to make a 2 seat unit. Anyway, PM me if interested and I can provide some photos. I can make a single seat tub for you also.

I am the original designer of the first cockpit tub Ed offered, as some of you may know. I also did all of the vacuum forming for those. I have been vacuum forming for more than 11 years now and I basically have a lifetime of mold making experience using all kinds of different materials. I'm extremely picky as Ed will tell you! And I only sell parts I would use in my projects, as those who have bought stuff from me will tell you! That is how I know everyone will be happy with my work, everyone from the average modeler that could not care less about the details all the way up to the expert who demands detail and quality.
I have about 20 of the cockpit tubs, I am not a company and will only make things for others when I need to offset the cost of some project that needed some vacuum forming or something, recently I purchased 5 sheets of .040. I know many who use their skill to help pay for the hobby, limiting it this way also keeps it a hobby and not a job!
On my tubs I am using a new plastic, well it's not new just new for me but it is a treatment process called "Corona". It's used on outdoor signs for better UV protection, dye adhesion and the plastic feels stronger and seems much less prone to cracking. When you have the tub in your hands you will know the difference, well not all but some will!
I will offer these in the Buy & Sell section of this site, I have 20 now and may sell as many a 40 but that would be pushing it. I am doing this mainly because some here have asked for my work specifically.
Crisp detail and a properly designed structure to support a pilot figure under high G maneuvering, that is done with ridges in strategic places. These also create a feeling of depth that the tub obviously does not have.

edwarda10pilot,
Question: (forgive me is this a repeat from ancient history). Do you make the PET plastic canopies like Noray (Ray Hammel) did?
Mine from Noray is much better than the stock one, except a rough landing cracked mine a little - barely noticeable, but like to know if I can get one in the future if needed.

The picture is a little misleading. The ones he shows on his site are painted silver to show up better. The canopies he sells are very clear and good quality. I have gotten a couple from him and they fit very well.

I do not make the canopies but Keith Sparks does. You can get them here: http://parkflyerplastics.com/cart/in...roducts_id=694

Guys, I got the offers in this morning for my listing, after I get going this morning I'll send the invoices. I forgot to mention in the listing that if you buy a multiple tubs the first one is $20 and any others you purchase are $15, sorry about not mentioning that in the listing.

Just a note to let those that ordered tubs know, all the tubs have been sent out. If you ordered one last Thursday it went out Friday morning, others were sent out next day as I got notified of payment.
Thanks and enjoy, if anyone has any questions about painting, detailing or whatever I will be more than happy to answer those here, that way it can help others (and me) if others have the same question.
Thanks,
Luke

RAMFlyer, It's getting close to the holidays and it's getting a little busy, I have other things I need to do and will not be able to get any other tubs sent out until after the new year.
Thanks Matt, I know people will love the tubs, I'm very pleased with the plastic myself! I pull the tubs out of .040 CORONA WHITE, it is a specially treated plastic and I can tell you know the difference! The plastic combined with my cockpit design will make your canopy hatch very rigid and durable. Share some pictures, would love to see how people are detailing the cockpit tubs!

Hello Ed,
My name is Bob and I was reading through this thread and came across your post about Bell's Palsy. I had a friend and co-worker that had Bell's several years ago. He recovered fully without any lasting complications. He was probably mid-fifties when he had the attack.
Don't worry. You will get better!
Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I do feel a little better each day so things are progressing. Hope to be healthy by early January.
Merry Christmas or happy holidays to all.
