Bigplumbs is going to be doing the build thread on the Falcon, but first he is building his new Wren 54 engine kit .
Which should be done this week as he is on holiday at home.
Falcon build will commence shortly.

Justabigkid.
Falcon wing section is flat bottom,which is proberley why its such a stable model.
I have had no problems when flying with this wing section which i believe is clark wy.
I do however need a little down elevator when flying inverted, as this is not a simetrical wing.
The c g is in the correct location.

No measurements to be seen BUT.....I would think that the length of the leg will be demanded by the postistion of your retract base plate and the length of the plastic retract wheel pod? [8D]

Hello Gents!!! Can someone measure the width between the 2 Booms please and give the distance from the engine mount to the ground... I am still away from my plane and I would like to continue to round up all the parts necessary to complete it.... I have everything to turn it into a Wren-54 Turbine Machine but I want to fly it with the Nitro 1.30 first..... PROP SIZE??? is the only issue left...I think the 3 Bladed is the way to go.... 14x10 or 15x8 have been suggested.....

I've gone for rates on the ailerons to bring it down to 10mm travel rather than in the book it says 20mm. But I have the 20mm travel there if I should need it.
Wingart what have you set yours to. Also have you got flap elevator mix?[:-]

I read where someone was using a 16x10 on an OS 160. so any prop you run on a 1.3 should be ok.

I also set rates to 10 and 20, you will soon see you wont use 10 its know where near enough movement .20 is fine and its still not vicious.
I `thought about mixing in elevator with the flaps but after the first flight it became apparent you dont need too.
only the smallest amount off trim change.
i put a small amount off back pressure on the stick this is fine doesnt cause any probs.
This really is one of the easiest planes ive ever flown of any type.

I reread your post. If you havent spent the money for an SK 1.3, I would recommend you spend the extra 100 bucks for an OS160 for that 16x10 prop. I just dont think you will be happy with the 1.3 on this heavy of an airplane. I dont think you have the power and speed you want. If you look at the GMS 1.20, its specs are nearly the same, but higher revving motor, and its not enough motor for this plane.
I think most folks would agree you need a hi revving 2 stroke 1.40 or better on this to achieve good dash speed, but have enough power to get off the grass.
Please...anyone else chime in. I know folks are pleased with the OS 160. ...BTW, thats what is going on mine...the 1.60 is sitting in the shop at my buddy's house now. I know you will be happy with that combo. I own a GMS 1.20 too, so I had to bite the bullet and get another motor.

where ar you guys putting the gas tank
in the turbine powered versions and are all of the
servo holes standerd size or smaller I was going to use futaba 9650 dig srevos

Fitted my tank as far back as poss. Trimmed the frames and slid the tank in. The rear of the tank is flush with the rear spar, and is secured with one tie wrap which fits under the front and rear spars and up and ove rthe tank.
I fitted my breather tube exiting the lower wing surface out board of the the boom, with tube facing fwd, to reduce risk of fuel spill going on engine. The tubes join in the wing root with a fuel filter.
Rudder servos are slightly smaller than standard the 225MGs fit.
Elevator, I think are 225MG size again ( Iused one standard size in the Tailplane)
the flaps and ailerons are standard size,
