Had a look at that, they look just like the Digitech disc brakes if so they aren't that unique LOL the only thing I would question is if you are going to fly off grass, in which case I would recommend going for the Digitch trailing struts rather than the Dreamworks Olio's, the traling struts transfer much less stress into the fixing points and wing on bumpy ground the Dreamworks Olio's can only disipate any bending load straight into the airframe.

I've tried the oleos and have problems on our rough grass strip[&o] would like to try trailing links....

Digitech struts = 100 grams
Intairco wheels and brakes = 131 grams
Airpower wheels and brakes = 97 grams
It looks like Dreamworks have now gone over to the same brakes as Digitech i.e. Airpower so its only the comparison between the struts that's worth making, don't forgett these are the comparitive weights of a Boomerang Elan set of gear, I would think that now Dreamworks have changed their brake and wheel supplier the comparitive weights are about the same, so its only the difference between straight Olio's and trailing link struts that your choise will be based on, personaly I will never use straight Olio's again, its a bit like upgrading to Kero start once you have done it, you will not go back.

I spoke with a number of the jet guys after our last meet here and next to no body flew with trailing link legs. all had straight legs. they said no dramas flying of grass especially if you can land nicely Been flying for a while now so i might just be ok.
I think Digitech also sell airpower items so they might very well be the same thing. seeing as they both use the airpower retracts, the only difference is the leg's them selves, in which case the digitech offering is all that more expensive, or so i thought until i found this:

They also pro-lynx gear (legs), different wheels and brakes ( looks like your intairco items??) for $599, compared to digitech which converted into USD is $665. not sure if the digitech stuff at that price comes with airline, valves, etc..

thanks for the figures, so one can make an assumption that if they are running the same brakes and retracts, and there is only 1gram of weight difference per leg, that the price and quality of the items is the only major differences.

One other thing to take into account is that Dreamworks are Imperial and Digitech are Metric so Allen keys for one will not fit the other, I find that very annoying having to have two sets of tools just to accomadate an outmoded measuring system. TVFIC

Ok......I seriously going to start the build on this plane. Actually last night I tore the covering off the wings and I have the nose gear installed but not the steering, so I'm at least started.
Here is what I'd like all you Falcon 120 flyers to post so its all together. I'd like to see a condensed section so its all right there for me to find. If I have specific questions I'll PM (if you are willing to answer).
1. Former mods to fit fuel tanks
2. Canopy attachment methods, both stock canopy or the stronger aftermarket one
3. If you did a cockpit, show that
4. Mods to the fiberglass section that holds the turbine
5. Bracket system to hold the turbine (if anyone sells one I'd be willing to discuss) and how the degree of downthrust
6. If you made mods to the wings (for me I plan to reglue formers and install CF tubes, then cover the holes and fiberglass the wings)
I think having a few posts of these 6 things will help me (and others) have all that info at a quick glance. I plan to do the same with mine as well as I build it over the next few weeks.

I have been going through the thread. I just figured someone who already built one and is flying it could post in one spot the 6 most important parts of building this plane for a turbine. No big deal. I'll do it when I have mine done. It only helps those who will be building it in the future. Kinda like a mini instruction manual.

Heres my super highly modified Falcon 120se. Its awsome !!! Ultra strong airframe !!! All composite airframe. Automotive paints.
I have 5 flights with a P-120. Super fast !!
125oz total fuel with wing tanks.

Mike, my Falcon120 set from Dreamworks are definately trailing link and look very similar to the Digiteck ones. Dave, I'm using Trim Aircraft brakes and wheels, which are very well made and also half the price of similar quality other brands. As a guide my total undercarriage solution cost me about $650 AUD

I have about a .65 inch up and down on the ailerons and .85 inch on the elevator. Max flaps is 85 degrees. 10% expo on the elevator.
I think it weighs somehwere around 20 lbs dry. Then it holds 125oz of fuel.....so all up weight might be near 26.5lbs with fuel.
Vertical is excellent with the P-120. I would say speed is around 200mph.
I use A123 for the receiver and ECU.
I balance it 13 inches back from the inboard leading edge .......level plane, no fuel.
Going to put a Titan SE on it for next weekend....... should be cool !!!
I still have fuel cells if anyone needs them.

Nicely done, I see a Fromeco Kodiak switch in your install, are you using A123's, if so how did it ballance with that extra weight at the back?
Have you verified the speed of it yet?

Yes, I use A123's.........they are awesome...period!!! I never thought A123's would work so well. I use a CellPro 10s charger.
