RE: A few pics from Wroughton

My original Flash has the Behotec units and AT legs, probably 200+ flights on grass...still fine. Little Stevie probably has more flights on his, also with AT legs as it was his only jet for a long time...

    Hi Martin,

Yes clear blus Skies for us also but the winds were friendlier, 10-15 mph at 60 degrees off so a good time was had by all.

Laurie - Yes be good to see you again and fly that F16 that is waiting to fly.

RE: A few pics from Wroughton

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks for reply would have liked to have gone flying yesterday also but it was my birthday so family said no way and took me out for a slap up meal in a very nice resturant in Londons Covent Garden yum yum.

With regard to the AT legs I see Dreamworks do a Pro-LinkUL leg/trunion set for the Behotec C-50 units, this does away with the pin problem and uses a 1/2" clamp fitting, looks good and I think most of the USA flyers prefer this system.

The only complaint I have with the AT units in my Carf Hawk is that I was supplied with the wrong (small) main gear cylinders which have now been changed to the 25mm dia. units and the trailing link legs are in my opinion far too softly sprung with too much travel.I have now modded the legs to limit travel to 45deg but I would like stronger springs.Otherwise the AT units are very well engineered.

    Phil.

Phil, there is a company not to far from you called Harlow Springs, they can wind a pair of springs to any spec.

    Give them a call 01279 429004.

Or you could just buy some stiffer springs from Sandor at Digitech, who also do the 0.5" trunnion and leg units for the Behotec retracts.

Loz...shame you missed it mate...next weekend maybe?!

Dave, it did get a tad parky later in the afternoon, hence the coats! Foxjet was amply powered with the 160...thanks for your recent help with that.

Geoff, yes, will post more Hunter pics later tonight.

    Cheers,
