I talked with Shulman about this 2 years ago, he said BVM was going to re-due their F-16. But it's been a while??

Two of the well proven larger options-
My choice for full composite version would easily be the Aviation Design
http://www.adjets.com
As far as best scale detail/options available definetely the Avonds without doubt, although not 100% composite

Avonds is deffinetely the most scale, specially if you go for the full options package.

It may not be the most scale - but it's the best, easiest and most awesome jet I have flown!!
Ventral fins have been added, and the best thing about this plane is the correct way it "sits" in the air...

And how about JetLegend?
What is your general opinion.

Is it all composite and does it have any lines and rivets engraved?

I've put 10 flights on my Avonds F-16 in the past week. PST 1300R(awsome motor) will allow it to climb on takeoff to about 500 ft straight up before I lower the nose. After 2 passes I can then climb with Thunderbird rolls straight up until it's out of sight. With the scale gear you cant do wrong!

Jet Legends has NO revits, But has nice panel lines. it is all glass. and is very light designed for a small turbine.
All of the hardware is out of this world. it is as nice as it can be. the Landing gear it the nicest piece of R/C Ive ever seen.
The kit comes with all of the gear doors, It has he brake and retract valve, Double wall pipe Bellmouth . It is a very good value. it also came with the decals.
It however needs the door cylinder's.

Working on F-16's for 7 years i have become a stickler in looking for the most scale. The Tamjets second generation is the best outline along with BVM's. The AD is nice but it has some quirks and the Avonds is definetly not scale. If only Tam offered scale gear it would be unmatched. Just my .02

Wow...incredible!!! Now, that's what a call a kit. Large 1/5 100% scale, LE Flaps & Flaperons, scale gear...oh...and that beautiful custom-built scale nozzle! Amazing! Please tell me this is still available...in the USA? I am a little surprised that split speedbrakes were not added considering all the time that was put into making it.

Isn't Tam working on a 1/6 scale F-16 w/ LE flaps? Perhaps I read wrong, but I thought somebody was building/testing a prototype for him.

Hey Pantherflyer, you got it right when you mentioned acuracy. I guess after you have spent a few thousand hours working the real ones, you know where the deficiencies lye. BV's was the closest in outline, and the latest Yellow version is a close second. I have seen the Avonds and it is missing in a few main areas. The AD is a great flying bird and presents well.

If you aren't looking for a serious Top Gun/ WJM outline bird, then the AD is probably your best bet. Not many will know where the areas of concern in outline lye.

How does the Skymaster 1/6th scale F-16 stack up against Tam's or BV's??? Here is a link to take a look:

The 1/6th F-16 is much bigger. It needs a Rhino to power it, versing the 1/8th that flies great with a Super Bee.

Beave

PS. I just bought a 1/8th scale -16, SkyMaster version.

Here is the thread to the Tam 1/6th Scale F-16 and It is Bryce AKA "NIGHTWALKER", that is building the Prototype... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_30...tm.htm#5595981

A few Pixx here and It looks to have Movable LE ..

By the way. that 1/5 Scale kit is USD $9395.61 , Without Shipping, Turbine, Cockpit Pilot, Radio, or Paint.

Since the guy didn't specify a size I thought that the big Skymaster F-16 looked to be a good choice as it appears to have the most detail of any other F-16 available and is fully composite----Wasn't the prototype flown with a P-120???

Yep...that's the thread! It looks like Tam has a pretty nice new kit coming down the pipeline...I love what I see so far. I too would like to know the projected timeframe on this kit...uh hum...Tam, care to fill us in buddy? Any plans on including some high-scale retracts? From the pictures (right-rear view), it looks like split airbrakes will be supported too!

Yep, in a class of it's own...like Composite ARF's Mig-29. If you have the money, it looks like the best F-16 available. Tam's new 1/5.5 version may just be scale enough for most though...something I'd be looking at for a cost effective fun-scale kit...ie fun = not sweating/shaking profusely while flying a $20k+ competition quality plane. Thank God for DSM2 and FASST!

Hi pantherflyr, wow Iam curious to learn where the outline discrepencies then exist on both the AD and Avonds. I was under the impression the Avonds especially was on the money?
