Hi Guys,
We'll be seeing you there again this year. We had a great time last year. We'll be arriving Thursday evening, save us the same parking space for the motorhome!

Sylvain, I am glad to hear you are attending. We will be flying on and off all week and I think there might be some guys showing up early after the High River Jet Rally as well. It will be good to see you and your wife again. Later, Ad

OK, everything is ready for a late Tuesday departure. I worked all weekend on gettng the trailer in order...what you guys think?
Hopefully the J66 will run properly but I have a loaner P-80 with me just in case...(I doubt I will have any trouble!)
Ad, the fire buring up that way...any impact on the event?

Hello from Montana,
There are a couple of fires burning now, and that could cause some smoke and haze. It also depends what the wind does. It could blow any haze away from us as well. So far it is not a problem. Later , Ad

Hey Guys
We have a few guys already here and have been burning up the sky.
The smoke from the fires as not been great but flying is not a problem so far. We should be able to get in all the flying anyone wants. forcast for friday is 95deg and light winds. A slight cool down to the mid 80s for the rest of the weekend and again light winds.
see ya soon

Many thanks to Ad, Kelly, and the entire Glacier RC Club for a super event. Carole and I look forward to next year and hopefully we won't have to fly through that Red Montana Sky................but, Richard Widmark loved it...............Seriously, we pray for lots of rain for the Western States and another Mountain Thunder that rivals this one........It was GREAT to touch base with all of you and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Hey Chris & Carole
Again thanks to you and everyone else that could make it.
As we talked while you were here we will be looking at moving up the date next year to help reduce the chance of us being in our fire season and overall fire danger. We are looking at the last weekend in June at this time, but we want to get everyones input as well.
I know I speak for the whole Montana group that we had a GREAT TIME with all the guys that made Mountain Thunder Jets 2007.
Kelly
P.S.
HEY WOODY I FOUND YOUR HATCH LATCH ON THE END OF OUR RUNWAY!!!!!!

Like I said, it is a Long way up there! It was way worth it! This was my first jet event and it was great! Thanks to all who made the effort to make it such a good time!
I made new friends, and I am already planning for next year....
BTW, 2500+ miles round trip! <G>

Got home yesterday and had a good time at the event. It was nice to get home and get some fresh air as the smoke from some of the forest fires was a little thick on the way back.
Since I was messing with a boggy generator (had to keep the wife cool in the trailer) I missed the award presentation that afternoon. Could you give a run down on who got what. Thanks.

Hey Roy
We had a great time and thank you for coming over.
Most of the hardware went to the two BVM F100s and for good reason!!!
Both are Topgun quality and with great pilots Dan and George at the controls
Best Sport jet permormace went to the BVM Kingcat w/ the p160 for power.
Andrew with his BVM bobcat, and Skeet was awarded the sportsmanship trophy for being the great guy that he is.
We have more pic's coming but have some download problems to sort out.
More to come soon.
