What are those, Makos? Where did you get those transfers?
My jet will be here any minute, can't wait!!
Yep, Florida Makos. I like the shark.
Cindy at Aeroloft had this in her list of about 15 different F-16's.
And I found a great pix of it here on the web.
If all goes well I will be spraying My Clear Coat tonight LATE!
What kind of clear will you be using? I'm also buing decals from Cindy. I guess were some of the few people who really don't have any problems with Aeroloft.[8D]

Here is a picture of the control board layout. Ill remove everything and paint it black.
Need to install the fuel tanks , UAT, Propane can, aileron extenions, and the turbine.
shouldn't be much longer.

It makes it easier just to get an Idea where things need to go.
Ill post the back of it as well .

Save the Pix in MS Paint and size it to the Origional and run it to the printer.
This is not the board that came with the jet.
Here is the side and bottom.

Default RE: Let Legands F-16 Kit Build

After 4 months of Building I have the Fuel tanks in and the turbine mounting rails installed and I dicided to see if the P-70 would fit into those rails,
and found a couple of things.
1 I had to cut about 3/16th off of each side of the Jet Cat mount. to fit between the tanks and not touch,
2 The turbine had to be raised 1/4 inch so It wouldn't touch the main Landing gear pneumatic cylinder block.
3 Ill have to raise the exhaust tube accordingly.
Has anyone else installed a P-70 in this Jet?

I will be using a P-70, and yes the ordenance is worth it. The pylons are the best part.

The kit is the ARF white. I can see my Yellow kit scale cockpit in there!

I really like it. It looks extremely easy to assemble. But yes, it could be "refined". Nothing some good primer and wets sand can't accomplish.

It will take a while to set up you control board. What are the fins made from on the rockets?
I may need to get the rodinance kit for mine. But Ill wait till after the Maiden..
It is ready to go.

The fins seem to be glassed plywood, already cut to shape. I would prime them. The install, removal is easy. Two set screws hold the ordenance against the pylon, and two mahcine screw attach the pylons to the pre-installed hardwwod mounts on the wing. The location of the blocks is shown on the plans, and hole location is marked on the wng skin. Ta-da!

Falconwing:

If you hold the wing so light bounces off of it, and Look real close, their is a 3 mm circle molded into the skin where the pylons go.
This keeps the pylons pointed directly into the wind. also allows for the screws to be centered in the hard points. I drilled a 1/32 hole in the center of all of those markings so they couldn't be sanded off.
Other things are also marked that way. but with the ARF. Most will already be used up.
Post Pix of your progress here as you build.

Which cylinders did you use for the gear doors? I have acouple of spare BVM ones for the mains, and Yellow that may fit the nose gear. Once the gear doors are in, it will all be downhill for me. [8D]

Hey man, where did you install the nose gear cylinder, all the way inside the inlet fwd former?
I was going to do it similar to Yellow's, but now I remeber it was difficult to get it to shut the door all the way.

Started bondo work tonight, but my Evercoat Glaze is very rubbery (it's 2 years old). I need to go buy a new can tomorrow.

Get what is called "ICING". You will love it. it is in a tube. On the Nose Gear I put the cylinder on a bulkhead about 2/3rd's of the way back from the front and hooked it to the hinge horn. Works great. The dorsal fin locations are also moulded in, on the fuse.

I have mine pretty much completely finished. I added that heat shield to the upper aft of the fuse and Hatch. last night. I added a charge pigtail to the turbine Battery with 3 way switch. So I can charge without continuely unpluging the wires from the ECU. Is anyone flying this the OEM wire antenna? I am on 50 MHZ.

What hinges are you using? The horn on the BVM hinges will not work
