Skymaster L-39 cockpit with 2 pilots, USD 295, looking great, same size

The JL is a little different size though, so there would Be small modifications
to make it fit in the JetLegend L-39
We have designed these cockpits to fit the JL Jets Exact!
Nice work though!!!!

I will not take the credit for that - it's a ready-made cockpit from Skymaster..
and I have the F-16, with the SM cockpit fitted, looking very good too!

Hi,
Your cockpit looks good too. Yours is a Skymaster?
Kmarks installed the cockpit into the JetLegend L-39 (Both Look Good!)
Great job on the details!
Looks Great. A complete plane and pilots. i love to see this.

Hi John
now I shall get on with my L39 as I had my maiden with the Velox and can now concentrate on geting on with the job
fo butting it all together
So you havent recived yours as yet, you should send a e- mail to Yang at JETLEGEND as he is the man over the shipping,
the model normaly gets shipped straight to the end user , your dealer would have given them your address.
regards
Andreas

He is totally right. You need to ask your dealer, or you yourself send him many email.
I know for me it has been very difficult getting in touch lately. But Mr. Yang has said he has been in the machine shop finishing off the retracts for all the soon to be released jets. They were behind.
So He is doing email, and production, and test flying. (Busy, Busy, Man)
So just keep in touch with him he will respond.
I know though....ALL THIS WAITING WILL BE WORTH IT!

Very interested on more photos showing the install details, including the tray arrangement below that allow enough space for the cockpit.
Maybe you can start a new thread, since this one is for the Jet Legend one.
Thanks,

Hi Nicolas
the video on you Tube is very good.
Can you give me some idea on the amount of through you have on your flying surfaces?
as I seem to get very little on my ailerons the way they are I haven't glued the hinges as yet the same on elevator there isn't a lot of room for them to rotate.
regards[]

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?
Hi Andreas,
The throws are described in post 177, page 8. It's correct, there's little space left between wing skin and the moving parts. I solved this with patience and sanding (where needed) the overlapping wing skin "sharper" by inserting sand paper in between the (glued) wing and moving parts. Of course, with the paper side to the aileron/rudder/elevator and the coarse side towards the wing skin.
Sorry to explain it this way, a photo would say a thousand words but I am currently in Bahrain in a lonely hotel room...[:@]
But indeed, it is absolutely vital to make sure the hinge line of all hinge pins is EXACTLY centered in the round leading edge of the moving parts.
Nicolas.

Hi David,
I hope you have received your trays in the meantime ?!?
Yes it is correct, you need to cut slots in the air brake and insert the epoxy "arms" in those slots. This is the most secure joint. (Make them rough first for better adhesion, I even drilled tiny holes in these arms where the glue will be.) Apply BVM Aeropoxy and tape the air brake all around flush with the fuselage and let cure 24 hours. Then remove the tape, and add more BVM Aeropoxy a second time to fill the joints. Sorry for not tracing back the best air brake hinge line in my posts but I thought I did reply this already somewhere to Todd ??
Best,
Nicolas.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?
I forgot to add I do NOT have the L-39 with me in my hand baggage !
However... talking about hand baggage.... I started learning how to fly helicopters in a hotel room in Seoul, South Korea a few months ago... believe it or not...
The photo below is taken by myself with a delay shutter about ten seconds after I pressed the button myself. It was my very sixth flight ever with a heli (=this one !) and about one hour after I had finished assembling the kit on my desk. I can assure you, this is crazy business with an agile full 3D T-Rex 450 SE ! But still... my heart is with the jets, no thrills with a heli for me... Nevertheless, I loved the technical side of it and use some gathered knowledge for the jets. I did dynamically balance the wings of the L-39 like they balance heli rotor blades. Hmmm... one of the tiny secrets of fine-tuning revealed now...
Nicolas.
