Hi Skywarrior;
Nice set up.
I need to mention, but I do not see your overboard fuel
vent line. Maybe it is just not in the PIC.
Your final Main tanks should be vented to overboard when full.
Please explain your set up.
I am just curious.
You should vent your single tank to your two main tanks
and your main tanks vent line to overboard with a Tee.
I will draw an example for you later.
Don't get me wrong I am just curious and not telling you what to do.
Skywarrior, I don't think you should worry about the offset horn for the flaps.
They are well placed and will work fine in flight. Your ball link should be placed only on the
outboard side for that is the best side to get the most movement out of the flaps.
But if you feel comfortable with your set up then keep it
I have my own set up also.

Hi,
well spotted with the vent line. Ran out of T pieces and got too enthusiastic about finishing the plumbing. Incidentaly I used your pluming plan on the older version last week (as seen in my previous post) and the piece leaked air at the junction even though it was wired. This happened on start up at the flying site and was a pain because no matter what I did it just leaked. Thankfully a flying buddy had a spare one in the box which saved the day but your plumbing plan worked fine. Thanks.
Malcolm dont worry about the mix up, at my age most doors have closed behind you just a few left open for the future !

Hi,
I tried the Gaurdian system without success. I had two units one for each of electric planes I fly at the local field which wont take jets. I struggled to get them both to seem reliable even though they were updated to latest firmware etc. One refused to switch off at all yet all other functions seemed Ok and the other switched on and of intermittently on an irregular basis. I did not thnk they were for me YET, I have to admit when I went onto a forum to try and corrrect this there were glowing reports.
I bought mine on a "Royal pastime" website and could not be bothered to go through the convoluted returns procedure so it was the bin !

Several guys in my club have used Guardians, so I decided to try one. I've been flying my EDF Panther for two years now with it and it works great. I hand toss it in 2D (wing leveling mode) then switch to 3D for the rest of the flight and landing. It takes all of the work out of flying and makes you look like a much better pilot. Small foamies handle the wind very well with it on.
Based on that experience I bought two more. I wanted to see how one would perform on a turbine jet, so I installed one in my Turbine Enforcer. I did only a few flights with it and it seemed to work just fine. The third one is installed in my F-4 turbine but I didn't get around to flying it before flying season ended. I've had no problems with mine, they work as advertised and are a good value for the money. If you use the search function I think you'll find most of the postings positive.

Hi Joeflyer;
So, you think it is a good product.
I am very new to the gyro system and before I order one I must find out some info on it.
I will try it out on my Pitts first and see what it does.
Thank you for giving me, (all of us) your input.
Is it easy to set up??????????????

Just follow the instructions. I'm sure you can find lots of information about it on RCU and on Youtube. It's best to try it out on one of your junkers first to get use to how it works. You can always switch it off if you don't like what it's doing. I don't like flying it in 2D mode because it tries to level the wings and fights you on turns. 3D works great.
One drawback when using it on larger planes is that it can support only one elevator output and one rudder output. It will support two aileron servos, flaperons and do elevon mixing. If you have dual elevator servos you'd have to Y them together (and use one reversed servo). Also if using it with high capacity servos you need to Y in additional battery power. That's covered in the instructions.

Hi,
Have done the lights and they are very bright. Brighter than my other set and this time just a 4 channel unit which is all I need. Its all on or all off in the grey UK skys as for my tired old eyes I need all the help I (pun inteneded) can get in a grey sky. Also put some carbon tows in the nose bay area just as I am carrrying heavy battery loads there. I dont want whiplash so to speak on a heavy landing ( which so far has eluded me !)
Its called get on and fly it now and if Sundays weather gap allows it will be tune in the gyro 3 axis with all help from JP my flying master, who perisits in teaching me more and more each time I go out flying with him.

Hi
Its a CARF Tutor. It flies really nicely and is my kind of plane. Scale,easy to fly and lots of room to put things.
It is featured in a number of my posts on the CARF Tutor thread.

Hi Eugene ... I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered - I think it's still out on the water somewhere. In the meantime, I'd like to see what I can do about fitting larger fuel tanks and a smoke tank. I wonder if you might be able to provide me with precise measurements of the fuel cell tray,,, length as well as the width and height of the opening. Is the actual tank space larger than the opening? ie can larger tanks be juggled through the opening?
Thanks - Steve

Hi Sieve;
I`ll get the info for you tonight with some pics of my smoke system set up.
I am using an external oil tank set up. It looks cool and I can also use the
internal set up as well.

Hi Chris
It depends on the exhaust temperature of the 160-180 turbine. If the exhaust pipe temperature is over 700c such as the new JetCat 180 that has much higher exhaust temperature then you should give Tam a call and order his pipe. If you are using just a 160 size Tyrone like 160Sx or Rhino then you are fine with the stock pipe.

Hi,
Flew the new L39 for three flights yesterday with new 180 RX, so far so good with the pipe.
Have desired gap between exhaust nozzle and pipe entry ( I would not call it a bell as such) and it performed well. Have added another 2 lt tank over the original 3.5 lt and will balance fuel load againt time spent in the air and flying style. Then use the volume I need as marked. Dont like being against the wall on fuel and time. have trial fitted a fuel telemtry system to my Skygate Viperjet and this should monitor fuel remaining at the touch of a switch ....Hopefully ! let you know
regards
