I'm having the same problem. He did respond that he got my order after a week and gave a ship date. That ship date is 2 weeks past and after 3 emails and a phone call have not gotten any response. If I dont get a response by the end of next week. I'll send a certified letter telling him to cancell the order and look else where.

Hi Guys

If you like, I can take a boo up to his shop(or what ever) in Barrie and see what's going on. What address to you have for him.

That is a great offer to go and see him, however, I do not see an address on the website. The website does say that they sell kits through dealers. Maybe there is a hobby shop in Canada with a kit in stock.

A dealer would probably be a better way to go. But only if he has it in stock. I got a feeling there wouldnt be any help from BP if I had a problem. Fortunately there is a jet guy at the local hobby shop. I bought a couple of dynamax fans and OS.91's with tuned pipes from him at the swap meet. For general help, I'm covered. So I'm still looking around for a reasonably priced entry level jet. Kit, short kit, or plans. Dont matter, I can build it.

My LHS told me that they are not in Canada anymore. He said that they are still in business but in Florida. I am going to look into it.

The last I heard, he had moved back to Barrie. I'll see what I can find through local sources.

I wouldn't deal with BP, after his wife died he went nuts!
I placed an order with him, didn't receive responce, canceled order after 3 mounths. Credit card was charged twice for canceled order.
Never refunded my $.
Had to file unathorized charges with my bank.

I would appreciate any help. The price is right for the RE, but if its unobtainable, I'm wasting time. After checking out other kit mfg'ers I've decided those are out of my price range. I've never paid more than $250 for a kit so I choked when I saw the prices of the others. Any other pointers for a comparable entry level DF? Would like a F-15 but I'm open. Even plans would work. I can scratch build it and layup glass for thrust tubes. I would rather start with a proven design than design my own. Otherwise I'll just shelve the project until I've run thru my other passions. Warbirds, begining giant scale.

Default Eagle Short Kit

Edwin,

Send me your e-mail address. I know a guy who can make a Regal Eagle short kit (glass parts, plans, manual even foam cores for the wings). Check out e-bay from time to time. I won a NIB Regal Eagle yesterday. Hope this helps.

My email is esmith16@austin.rr.com

I said I would give BP till the end of next week so I'll stick to my word and give him a chance. Its not like I dont have 4 other projects to work on. But I'm looking for alternatives as a backup. Thanks to all for your suggestions and support. I found some plans at the USRCJC site for an F10. Pretty complete. Anybody with experience with these plans?

Edwin,

My LHS has a Top Gun F15 kit in the box, I bet I could get him to do a real good deal on the kit if your interested. I have attached a pic of what one looks like. Email me if you want one, he has it priced at 350 but probably will do better! This is a fiberglass fuse not built up wood!...

Default F-10 Plans

I've printed them out using a regular laser printer. Took almost 36 8 1/2 x 11 sheets! But, they are very good plans. They look simple to follow. I'm thinking about putting an OS 91/Ramtec in it if I decide to build it. Don't know of a manual, but like I said they look easy to follow. Hope this helps.

The help in this forum (pretty much everybody in RCU) is overwelming. Thanks to everybody. I'll be saving this thread and probably contacting some of you at the end of next week. Got some very good prospects.
As for the F-10. I think I will build it. I have 2 dynamax/engine combo's from a swapmeet. I'll start on this one (later) and get one of the others people have offered to get familiar with DF flight. I have access to a 32" wide hp inkjet plotter here at work so a little rearranging of the plans ought to fit it just fine. The ultimate goal is to scratch out an A-10.

Default BP Eagle

Edwin

I have to agree. This website is awesome.

A suggestion for your plans, is to go to a Mailboxes Etc. They have a copier for blueprints. I brought 8.5 x 11 sheets and had them converted for about $5

RCNATS - Please let me know about the person who makes the short kit for the F-15 also. eroyer@optonline.net

Thanks ALL

Default F-10 Plans

Edwin,

Let me know how much to print out a set of F-10 plans. If not too much trouble I'd pay you to print me a set as well. Then I can use the ones I have as templates. Thanks.

Default They are still in Business---Good News

I just got a voicemail from BP. They said that they have been very busy and he was sorry for the delay in getting back to me. I need to try and call him back.

Looks like there is a future here!

rcnats, I'll see what I can do. Should know by tomarrow morning. The plotter is 36" and the drawings all appear to be 34" so there might not be a problem.

Nope! Did a phone call last week and left a msg. Wednesday I guess I'll be cancelling the order and checking out some of the alternatives mentioned here.
