Default Heinkel HE-162 (The Salamander)

Hello all!
I'm new at this forum and this is my first post... so, congratulations to all the people that make this forum the best reference about RC over the internet.

Two friends of mine are building an Heinkel HE-162 (The Salamander). The aircraft is fully handcrafted, including the engine (about 26 pounds of thrust) and the gear.
I took some pictures and made a small video last Sunday.
Hope you guys enjoy

The guys behind the machine!! Humberto Monteiro and José Monteiro!

Nice work, i believe the full size had some dihedral in the main wing?? it was not flat like on your model.

Ola Migas, seja bemvindo ao RCU!

I liked the coil in the landing gear mechanism... it´s a very clever detail.

Saudaçoes, Enrique.

Hi all
First of all, thanks for the welcomes!!
As I said before, this model isn't' mine (unfortunately :P), I've just posted some pics and the video.
Any technical questions should be directed to Humberto (hmjets)

Bear in mind that at this point its a car It is an airplane once it takes to the sky!
Not for too long

Hi! Migas: Beautiful plane. I have a fellow pilot here that enlarged the wings appxro. 6 inches each way, and let me tell you, this plane flies like a beauty.
Does not drop wings, lands as a bird.

Very good job![sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

But why the turbine exaust is angled in upward position? Does it help the rotation on take off?

Thanks

No,we have some problems with the exaust eat in the tailplane,so we rise the exit angle of tail pipe,no problems on take off.

What is the flying weight of your HE-162. It looks to be about 1/5 scale.
