Looks like good weather there. Wish I could have made it, out of town this weekend. I hope my Dad's Rookie isn't too banged up.
Keep the pictures coming, this is a 1st annual and we want to see how well it turned out.

It was just the booms. Couple days and it will be back.
Thanks for the event guys. Low key, lots of flying.

Here were the winners of the awards:
George Manning - Best Smiley Face
Paul Judice - Best Sport Jet (Lightning)
Paul Bageman - Best Scale Jet (F-100)
Mr. Top Gun - Mark Leseberg
Again, I want to thank everyone who came out and supported the event. A big thank you to the sponsors of the event, and a very big thank you to the Las Vegas Radio Control Club for allowing us to close their field for three days, as well as supplying some personnel to help set everything up to ensure a safe weekend.

I would like to start by thanking Chad and Paul, the Contest Directors, for a spectacular event! It was as much fun as I can remember. A spectacular field with lush green manicured grass, water and electricity. The weather was fantastic, although a little windy at times, not unmanageable. The hospitality was unequaled, including the chorizo breakfast burritos! They made us feel welcomed at all times. It is an ABSOLUTE DO-OVER, can't wait till next year!! You guys ROCK!

I have to second the motion made by the Fine Gentleman from California! We had a great time! What an all around great rally... Great facility, great CD's ( Chad and Paul), perfect weather... yeah it was a little windy at times, but who the hell wants to be accused of being a fair-weather pilot?! Plenty of room on the flight line ( I flew 8 times on Sat), and the best bbq'd double cheeseburger I have ever eaten at a rally.
Mark and I just finished putting on the Fresno Jets event a few months ago and I can tell you first hand that it is one hell of a lot of work, so we truly appreciate all you guys did... I mean, when is the last time you went to an event that had Jet fuel AND smoke oil available at the site?
For you guys that did not go, put this on your calender for next year. I guarantee they wont run out of shot glasses in Vegas like they did in Fresno!
Chad, can you email me at mattrock1 @ aol dot com, I need to get your address... thanks! Oh and thanks for the chorizo breakfast!

Yes there was, thanks to some great local individuals that brought their RV's out. A big thanks to Dave Bottida and Mike Domansky!
