up-3 valve set screws
Does anyone know what the 2 small set screws on the top of the up-3 valve are for? My valve has a constant leak through those 2 little set screws. I dont know what they are for so I dont want to touch them. I wonder if a little lock tite would solve the problem. Any ideas?

RE: up-3 valve set screws
I assume you mean the tiny screws in the top of the valve next to the nipples? These are access holes for creating the internal passages of the valve during manufacture. The screws are plugs. A drop of threadlock will probably solve your problem. If not, contact philip at [email protected] for service.

I'd highly recommend talking to Philip first, as Todd suggested. I recently thought I had an issue with a UP valve - it also was letting out all the air from my tank at a very slow rate. It turned out I was leaking air at a door cylinder fitting no where near the UP valve - the UP valve was fine. It surprised the heck out of me, but Philip had a good handle on it.
I'd really like to see a cross section of those valves! [8D] They're very clever.

Todd and Ron
I talked to Philip this afternoon and he said a little lock tite should solve the problem. Pressure is holding at 100psi so I think it's good to go. Thanks for your replies.
