For those building this beast, of note, the rudders on mine had to be done twice. Unless you get the carbon rudder horns all the way to one side of the rudders, there is movement when the rudder servo is centred. It is a bit of dremelling to get the meat out of the rudders, but get the horns set all the way to one side and you won't have slop in the linkage setup. It needs the angle from servo to horns for it to hold when centred, otherwise it teeters over centre and you can move the rudder......possible cause of flutter if not done right I guess.

Good to know! I received the Nose box of my plane today. Wednesday I go get the large crate. I am excited and so far it looks awesome. I can see why this bird is pricey. Great job so far Anton!!!
By the way, can one of you tomcat owners tell me how to unlock the landing gear to raise it back into the fuselage without air hooked up? Put it all the way down and seems like it locked. Totally dofferent setup than I have seen in my years of building.

Well I am pleased to say that after a concerted effort over the brief xmas break I have finally finished my 14. I am really happy with the way the gear works after fitting dual air valves and a meter out restrictor, plenty of grunt and great authority. I have fitted a Carsten Groen ASSI unit along with screen and a second Can LCD screen. Needed 200 grams of lead in the nose so I reckon I got the layout right. Found space behind the cockpit sides for the header tanks which are High Flow and fitted with 6mm tube all the way back to the fuel pumps. Next opportunity to do the maiden will be March at the VJAA club day at a full scale airport. Been this long now, another couple of months won't matter.

Danny,
No way to unlock it without air, The downlock is air operated. Just connect your handpump to the 'up' side of the cylinder and give it some pressure. You will probably need to push back on the nosewheel to make the pin unlock. Don't worry, once it's all hooked up, it works like a charm.....

Hi All
A Couple of update pics of the cockpit. Had fun today experimenting with the working HUD. I know it is stuck on with blue tack but you have to start some where. The HUD you see in the pics is not the one going in the plane. There are a lot more gauges still to be fitted. This is just the top section of the front cockpit dash.
Regards
Keith

Thanks muzz, I talked to John they are going to send me the control horns with my other replacement parts. The bags are out of stock once they arrive in they are suppose to send them to the people who did not get them with their kits.
