KC,
I have the Spark ready for a test flight with EDF power. I'm using the StuMax 110-52 edf from Australia. Installed thrust of 11lbs should make this sport jet,,,,well sporty.
I keep eyeing a Gold 44 for this model.
The Spark is very well made, light but very stiff in the right places and it has very good instructions too.

yeah i was just asking if it was a commonality with the Wren's and glow plugs, I'm contemplating getting a 44 for a Composite ARF Spark..

I've been impressed with Wren's because of everything I've read about them so far. I do have a question about service though. If these engines are purchased through the Canadian dealer is the service provided through Canada or are the service and repairs done in the UK? To me it doesn't matter either way I just would like to know as I'm getting close to placing an order for one.

As I understand the service is done in the UK. A friend recently sent his in for service and had it back within two weeks.
Wren is top notch.

At the moment all repair work is done in the UK, but we are looking very seriously at improving the service for our US customers this year.

Just my one Dirham's worth.....!!!!
Built my first ever turbine from Wren 54 plans in 1999, have built 2 more from kits since, I live in Dubai Middle East, and its like having a supplier on my doorstep.
Quick delivery, top service, and the people you deal with are 100% committed to customer service.
Hope this helps

Regards
Lee

My 1st turbine was a kit built 54. Semi-auto start that I changed to auto. Still runs flawlessly with 30 hrs so far. Starts 1st time EVERY time. I have that engine in a Cermark MB-339 that flys great. I just purchased a Tamjets A-4 that I pick up this saturday and have a 2nd mw54II thats recently been gone thru that will push the A-4 nicely. I have only had to replace 1 starter and the service and help from Wren and Ron Ballard is simply 2nd to none. With Wren you get a fantastic product, competitively priced, great performance and above and beyond when it comes to customer service. And the Wrens have a tendency to just keep running and running. They spool pretty quickly too-

Might sound korny, but I chose Wren initially due to the fact that the Brits invented the 1st turbojet-and Wren is a British company
