One of the most beautiful RC model I have ever seen...
Model, construction, details, weathering, it is art...
And you are great pilot too, in the air A 10 is as real plane...

RE: 4th gen A-10 by Mibo jets
Concerning landing gear manoeuvre :
The wheels are heavy and with full pressure the L/G just cope with the relative wind and close normally but when I extend the L/G everything are very brutal and the L/G slam violently.
So I bought this :
http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=733
It is not written in the descriptive but this restrictor is "assymetric". I mean "no restriction" in one way and "restriction" in the other way. There is a little drawing on it to explain the restricted direction.
So I installed 3 of them ( one close to each cylinder ) and now the gear extend very smoothly.
Best regards
Stan

I have a similar setup for my Gen 3 gear, works great to throttle the gear down motion and full blast for gear up!
I put one on each gear and that allows me to also adjust each gear etc.
Mine are festo (gray/blue) about $30 each and have restricted flow when exhausting air with gear down and then allows full air in for gear up.
I had tried soemthing similar to the one you have shown (orange with lock nut) but the one that I had throttled/restircted in both directions which could limit up gear air flow.
Great tip!
Dave

I was wondering if either Stan or someone else could post a picture or two of how you did your rudder linkage? I am curious about where exactly to put the horn in the rudder itself? The hinge for the rudder is right there so I am assuming the horn fits around it in some way but before I start cutting I want to make sure. Also if anyone has any pictures of the A10 from operation "cool snow hog" I would very much appreciate it. I know Ali did one up as a snow hog but the one I am looking for was done up a bit different .
Thanks
Thanks

The pic of the "snow Hog" is very interresting. Do you have some other ?

Roger,
Sorry to confuse. I'm not after them, I was just wondering as you said you received new Mibo ordnance and only thing I noticed new was that they were painted.
Are they new? They look the same as those I received months ago - or am I missing something.
Cheers
Mark

Hello Stan,
it seems that we may have a flight together with our A10's at the IMAA airshow in Montluçon ! (Well Christian asked me if i would accept to make a flight patrol with you and i must say that it will be with great pleasure for me ! Don't know if he asked to you but i hope that you'll be ok because it could be a great moment !)
I must say that your painting and finish is fantastic, no other word !
Mine is not so detailed but i surely will try your weathering method.
I have the same cockpit as your but i made a little interresting mod :

I think that we'll have a lot to exchange on this fantastic machine !

Hello Heraldo
I fly 6mn ( airborne ) the total run time is about 8mn ( start, taxi out, flight, taxi in ). The consumption is always the same = 2,5 liters/engine.
I just start to build another Mibo A10 probably in the Artic "cool snow" scheme. I will improve all the problems I identify on the first model : L/G, reinforcement of the wing , nose heavy(!!!!) ...

Hi Heraldo
8711 is OK. I used this ones in mine. In fact there is a lot of space and you can use whatever servo you want.
I will reinforce Landing gear and the structure in the wing to support it. Reinforce the attach between the L/G doors and the L/G leg. Reinforce the intrados of the wing where the L/G is fitted. (see some post above ).
I will try to change the position of engines and exaust tube in the pod. So that the efflux will be directed sligtly to the up and exterior (as the real). Because the nose down effect when power arrives is horrible.

RE: 4th gen A-10 by Mibo jets
Hi Heraldo
Are you using the detail4scale mechanism ?
For this mechanism I totally change the locking system because the original one was using a servo for the horizontal locking movement and the servos was always blocking and use a lot of current. The servos became very hot, very fast. So I modify that with a air pressure locking system. Look at the pics.
On my second A10 I will try once again the original system but I'm almost sure that I will modify it.

Of couse you'll need to sequence the lock/open function.
I used a 3/2 old valve controled by a micro servo. The air pressure is taken on the brake air bottle.
For the sequencing function I have create a sequencer into my Weatronic receiver ( very easy), but you can use the Detail4scale sequencer also.
