Joe no I didn't get to Pima. I took these pictures at the Az. portion of the Planes of Fame. I don't know exactly where it is but its some place south of the Grand Canyon. I saw these planes on the way to the Grand Canyon and I HAD to stop on the way back.

things are really coming together now on the f84. the outer gear doors took me 18 1/2 hours to get the geometry correct. it beat me down. but i kept trudging. finally i got it just right. now i have had a second wind and have worked on it every hour i have available. barry

he is still in the box. cockpit has been fit, but is out until i test run the turbine. the pilot will be needed for nose weight for sure. she doesnt seem to tail heavy. i put everything towards the front. power is 2 2400 mah 6v nicads and ecu is 7.2v. the batteries should cut down on the nose weight needed, as they are right in the front. barry

Looking very good Barry! The detail is great! As I said before, I have the documentation for the bomb/fin combo for the F-84. I found a couple pictures to confirm they did indeed use the later type fins, so you wouldn't have to fabricate the WWII style fins. Looks like you'll be finshed in plenty of time. Good luck!

ed, i got the maiden in yesterday. it was windy. 15 to 20 straight down the runway. i waited, but the wind never layed down. so the maiden was done in the wind. it was uneventful. the model flew smooth. balance was fine. i will be hopefully going back next weekend for some practice. barry
