Robert Vess of Vess Aero has worked on this project and actually they are working on a large scale RC Prototype (not for general use, but testing for the full scale) that will use i believe two 45# turbines. I saw pictures of the fuse and it was huge.
They are opening the Honda Manufacturing Plant in Burlington, NC which is only about 45 minutes away.

If they can make a model of the F-104 fly reasonably well, which they can, this should be a p----cat.
I know light wing loadings lead to gentle models but we are talking about jets.
