Default Ram turbines

Can anyone tell me who is the Ram turbine dealer or who is servicing them? I heard that Ram is going under a different name.
Thanks, Marco.

When my FTE-500 needed service, Carlos at RTI took care of it quickly, for less than original estimate, and it starts and runs perfectly. I would not send a RAM anywhere else. Too many bad reports from other places. Hope that helps. Bob

My 750 plus was reconditioned by Carlos at RTI. It had over 200 flights and was NEVER sent for service, You can ask Carlos about this one. This is the BEST turbine I´ve ever had.
Srevice from RTI is excellent .

Carlos From RTI is the only way to go for me. This guy is Honest, Excellent service and a great guy to deal with. I my self own a RAM 1000. Carlos has been a life saver, I am currently starting my second project and my next Turbine is definetly an RTI Turbnine. Good luck with your Ram.

My Ram 1000 supposidly came from a fresh rebuild from Carlos and it never worked right from day 1. I ended up giving it to my brother for a boat.

I really doubt that. Carlos stands behind his work. I dont know what you repaired on your motor with Carlos
but I'm sure theres a second side to this story.

You can doubt it all you want. The Ram was a POS. Repairing them has become a business for a reason. It's profitable.

Soemthing to consider is that many of the rams were repaired by people who really did not understand what was going on. I have been told that some folks even drilled holes in the combustion chambers thinking it was a fix for something. I asked Carlos after he took my engine apart what the cost would be. He quoted a worst case cost, and it was much less. It starts and runs as well as any turbine I have owned, and that includes Jetcats, Simjet, and Artes. Bob

Actually, at the time this all occured, I personally I talked to Carlos about it and he confirmed working on it. He even sent me some replacement parts etc. It's all history now...was posted years ago,, and I will never buy another RAM again. I really don't blame Carlos, as I doubt anyone can guarantee they will work for long.

I will tell you from personal experience, this last sunday I personally had a mishap with my Eurofighter that did not end well at all. Carlos just happen to be at the field where we fly at and took the turbine with him. I got a call today telling me that it is ready for pick up. Now that is service. Beside the fact that every story has two sides. I am pretty sure AndyAndrews, might have just giving up on his turbine and never really gave it a chance or tried to resolve the problem. SO far I have not had any issues with my Ram 1000 and it runs every time. Every time I call Carlos I get him on his phone, If you leave a message you get a call back no matter what. Try that with other brand and see what happen. I think any person doing business with Carlos, Ram or one of Carlos RTI turbines will not go wrong. Sad part of all this is that there will always be People that not matter what you do or how you do it, will never be happy.

My thought is that it means you should have contacted Carlos/RTI first . . . ? (as others have mentioned, you cannot go wrong with Carlos.)

That's sort of right - he markets his own turbine now.

He was associated with the original RAM company, but I don't know in what capacity.

FWIW, I've not heard too much bad about him-mostly positive.

I have three Rams, 750F, 1000, and a 750 Plus which was upgraded to produce 28 lbs of thrust. When necessary, all my Rams have been serviced by Carlos and each one runs without any problem. If you have or plan to buy a Ram turbine, send it to Carlos/RTI for servicing.
