They are intended to be waterside...however you could make stencils out of them

I masked off the tip tanks and nose today for the black. I still need to sand / weather the fuse and tip tanks but getting the black done now will allow me to go from weathering to decals to clear.......then to Phantom baby!!

Not yet. It has arrived to the Global Jet Club Factory from the FeiBao factory. GJC is inspecting the jet and weathering it for me. They will then send pictures before shipping it to me.

At least you have something to keep you busy in the mean time. Imagine sitting around waiting for the UPS truck? Time stands still at that point.

You can say that again. And the weather has been so poor around here that my Cessna has been sitting for 5.5 weeks

I am planning a long night of wet sanding starting today after work. If I can finish the wet sanding / alcohol treatment by tomorrow night after work, then I can begin cutting out and installing decals on Friday.....more weathering details Saturday and a possible clear coat on Sunday. A major goal for sure...and If I get a chance to fly my Cessna (the plane has not flown in nearly 6 weeks due to poor weather) I will drop the sandpaper in an instant. I'll continue to post pictures as I progress. My biggest supply item during the next few days…….Mt. Dew!!

Hey Rich,
Those are some awesome decals. Would you consider making custom decals for some of us looking for this quality of work. Looking to the future, a Hawk with custom decals with this kind of art work would be the rats ##s!!!!!!.

Did you just receive your L-39 or kingtech turbine? This combo works out great.

Yes I used the FB stock pipe. I check it periodically for signs of heat distortion or warpage etc.......... So far so good.

I fly off grass and I know a lot of people would say there's a lot of loose material out there. The front rotor still looks like new. The one field I fly off is rolled tight yearly making for a good soild ground to operate from. I have yet to run across a problem area where there's a seriuos cause for concern. I know I'm stretching my luck here. I'm happy with my setup.
Did you get a FB L-39. If not what plane is the kingtech going in?

Doane

5 hours of wet sanding....each one of them with me thinking....what did I get myself into
I have the bottom done and part of the front nose section. I also have both wings done.
Still a long way to go.

Oh I forgot to mention that I still have the entire left side, hatch, canopy and tip tanks to do.
I will probably finish it up by Saturday night (after flying the Cessna) and start cutting out and applying the decals on Sunday. I getting tired[&o]

I have all the ordinance and pylons NIB from my FeiBao F-5E. I mounted this to the F-5E but never flew with it. I may try to hang some of this under the L-39! I may have to possibly resize the smaller tanks but I think they will fit.
