Default anyone used Transferwise.com to send payments to Europe?

The exchange rates on this site are very close to xe.com or the mid market rate, on a large jet from Europe e.g. 7-8k that means $600.00 in savings vs Chase or bank of America.

However there is a 2-3 day delay.

I wanted to see if anyone had used these guys?

DW,

Yes, I have used it, just once.

I normally use xetrade.com, but the buyer wanted to use Transferwise, so I tried to set it up but had great difficulty getting the correct US bank info entered. It seems to be geared more for European transactions.

Luckily I also have a UK bank account, so I ended up using that with Transferwise to complete the purchase. I wouldn't use it out of choice though, not after the US account problems that I never solved.

Have a look at xetrade.com. I'm really happy with it.

will do, right now chase and boa are about 5.5% higher than the market rate so its gets pricey on big items.

Luckily Paul did not have to access his Swiss bank account, where he keeps untold millions...

Ron,

You're obviously confusing me with someone else.

Remember, we're both poor Aero engineers working at LM.
