Default covers for turbine

on an exposed turbine, does anyone make covers so nothing can get in them? dust, dirt, bugs? you know. something removable for flight. Or is it not a problem?

Thanks

Default covers for turbine

I wasn't aware of any commercially available covers, so I simply use a shower cap...

Not only is it effective, it's also a real conversation piece !

Default covers for turbine

I think AMT must have given them out at one time. I've seen Mercs with what appears to be custom fit front & rear covers of a red plastic. They almost looked like those plastic caps that you put on the end of poster shipping tubes.

Default shower cap

A purple shower cap with a JetCat decal would be just right for my P120.

Thanks for the idea

Default Turbine plugs

We've used them by the jillions in the aerospace industry forever. www.caplugs.com
Find the ones you like (that fit, of course) and buy them. Look at the site for the MIL SPEC models, That's what AMT was using.

Default AMT plugs

The AMT plugs are fine for AMTs, with their air-start system

When you have an electric starter on the front, with various webs supporting that starter, fitting the AMT style cap onto e.g. a RAM 500 would seem pretty awkward.
