Where to buy Kangaroo jet?

RE: Where to buy (Fiber Classics) Kangaroo jet?
I'm relatively new too, so I might be wrong but it's my understanding that the Roo morphed into the Rookie, and then the Rookie II. As I type this the site seems to be having difficulty but this is where to look for the Roo in it's current incarnation:

Good luck on your first jet, you're in the right place here at RCU. TONS of helpful threads to keep you happy, educated, and above all, SAFE.
PS, You might look into the Boomerang line also, [link]http://www.boomerangjets.com/us/kits.htm[/link]not quite as sexy as the Rookie but a very, VERY good first jet with UNBELIEVABLY comprehensive build threads here to answer every possible question you might encounter along the way. Also, FWIW, friend of mine prefers his Eurosports to his Rookies (same link and manufacturer as Rookie) because he says the extra drag of the Euro makes it easier to manage the speed and approach on final.

The Rookie II is the natural evolution of the Kangaroo,, go for it instead. However, there are some good options, like the Bobcat, Storm, Velox, Boomerangs, Reactions.etc that you might consider before buying anything. I suggest you compare the differences between them here in the RCU threads and then see how they fly in person at the nearest suitable club in your area, to see wich of them match your preferences.

They were not called a Kangaroo for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The main reason for the bounce is that you are still going to fast on landing and the nose wheel is very light. As soon as the nose wheel hits, it kicks the nose up in the air, and the speed gets it flying again, thereafter all you can do it is watch!!!!!!!!
As Afterburner says, the Rookie will do it as well but the canards can keep the nose high on landing.
Remember if you go Rookie, build the belly brake in, it definitely helps slow it down. Sean has also posted some ideas using the canards as brakes. Read it.
I am still flying my Roo after 5 years and have learnt to slow it down so the hops are few now.
If you find an original Roo, consider dropping the turbine mount as this creates some interesting ground handling issues on takeoff. I would rather go for the Rookie as this has been corrected there already.

Comp Arf made the kangaroo. They were a great deal! You could buy one new from them for around $400. Great deal for a composite airframe! I had a P120 on mine and it would scoot I'd like to have another one if I could find one for a good price. I think the ebay one is a little high priced but..
