Make sure to bring plenty of spending cash, the sponsors have really stepped up to the plate and donated some great items for the auction/raffle for all of you to have the opportunity to get a great deal on some of their products.
Just to name a few:
-Comp Arf Flash kit
-Fly Eagle F-16 custom painted ARF
-TamJets EDF F-16 ARF with landing gear
-Lots and Lots of JR goodies

RE: California Jets Announcements and Tent rentals
For those of you who were planning on bringing a barbecue, they will not be allowed in the pits. I know some of you like to cook out while you are there, but it's really not safe to have bbq's going with all that propane/jet fuel/and expensive toys around. You are more then welcome to cook at your motor homes/trailers/trucks....ect outside the pit area. I just wanted to get that little housekeeping item out of the way just in case some of you were planning on setting up camp in your pits again. We encourage pit spaces being like home sweet home, and feel free to bring as much as you want to...lets just keep it safe.

So, how's the rental stuff etc., gonna work ... are the rental tents all being clumped together in a separate area, such that if a bunch of people want to pit together and one is doing a rental, then they ALL have to do a rental ?
Will the tents will be pitched by the time we arrive on (say) Thursday ? If so is there a map / plan such that we get to pick our spots ahead of time ? Or do we arrive there, pick a spot, and then say "Pitch it there please", or do we end up with "assigned seating" that may put us in the boonies, or wot ?
More info please...

RE: California Jets Announcements and Tent rentals
First come first serve on the spaces. Kenny will be doing the layout as to accomodate the tents being rented as well as the pilots bringing their own pop-ups. Some consideration needs to be given to keeping the staging/start up area clean and free of everyones stuff so that a clear lane of traffic is open for large aircraft to get from anywhere in the pits to the staging/start up area. The rented tents will be named, so you dont have to run to a tent and say "SHOTGUN"! As of now Gordon, there is no designated area for pre-arranged rental tents. Once the final count is in and the tent rental is cutoff, Kenny will assign spaces to the tents. After that, tents will be assigned to people. I can almost assure you, that David Searles will still have the same spot that he has since year one....weather he rents a Tent or not!
Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Matt,
In past years we've parked at the top of the hill behind the registration area. I believe it will be the same this year.
