Default Small F-5 from Fei Bao

I saw this pic on their web site. Is this a scale paint scheme for the F-5 ??

I'd be shocked if it's scale. I've never seen anything like it on an F-5 at all. It does look great as a sport scheme though.

No, thats not scale. That scheme originated on F-18's I believe and now everyone is doing it on anything. It does look good on any jet though!!!

I wanna say the original Diamond Back scheme might have originated on A-7 SLUF's in Vietnam. It was on a standard grey over white camo Navy scheme with red Diamonds on top and such.

Is there any info out there on this small F-5 from FB. It looks like a good jet for P-60 size motors.

I will be doing a build thread on the large FeiBao F-5 tiger II soon. It will be painted in VFC-13's (Saints) agressor camo.

Wagner

thanks for the timely response. I was hoping for more in depth photos of the operational airplane. pop the hatches and lets see
what the stuff looks like from the inside.

is it 8lbs of stuff in a 3lb sack? know what I mean...

what motor, how much fuel on board, landing gear formers, live hinged surfaces, how tight is the install, tail pipe etc. etc.

just curious mostly, because i'm lining up planes in my head for purchase at a more opportune time.

in the near future I'll be just like maj woody 3 jets on the building table at the same time etc.

I'll watch the video when i get home, can't view Youtube from work.

Hi,

Is there any build thread of this smaller FeiBao F-5 (P-60), and are there more pictures of this kit ?

What is the quality of the kit and how all parts fits together ?

Hello Kristijan,
The following is not really a build thread however it does have some information on the smaller F-5.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_63...tm.htm#8062933

As for the fit of the parts look at some of the build thread that Dom (Maj Woody) has done for the Fei Bao Panther and L-39. Dom offers a honest opinion on what is good and what improvements can be made in his build threads.
As far as the quality, since Wagner of RC Jet Models has been involved the quality has risen, Wagner's goal is to make the Fei Bao line the best valued ARF available. Wagner is constantly in touch with the factory and travels to China at least twice a year to keep tabs on the quality of production.
Additionally Wagner has taken on the task of producing a quality manual for all of the Fei Bao ARF's that he sells.

If you want a flavor for the model you can find the large F-5 manual written by Paul B on the RC Jet Models web site.
I'm not sure when the small manual will be available

Buck, I have one of the 1/7 scale F-5 's here at my crib. You can get a first hand look when you come to see my FB F-4J. I should have the F-4 about 10-22, 10-25...
the F-5 is a very nice little jet. super simple and I am sure it is going to be a breeze to put together. It si going to be a blast to fly, I can tell by just looking at it. watch the video on WAgners website if you are concerned about it slowing down without flaps.
