Can you tell what the purpose of this piece of wood is? Your airplane does not have "intakes" for ducting a bypass because it is DF, I have full intakes that slide into the molded intakes.

I have not glued them in yet, but if there is structure needed from the top of the piece to the bottom, I want to do it now.

I was just going to tie the whole device into the fuse with wood and glass.

is this what you wanted?? as for the wood inside, it ties to the inlet fin to help support it from tearing off. that is glued to the inlet fin on the inboard side. my knowlage from the guys that were test pilots for byron, they had a problem with them tearing off in flight because there is hardly any surface to glue them on.

where are you placing your turbine?? i seen carl sperlock's f-20 turbine converson, and his turbine is places clear back by the vert. fin. the plane is nose heavy to begin with, so if you can move the turbine back and set your tanks on the cg that will help you out also.

Keep up the good work Sean!

Hi guys, I am about to pick up a Byron F20 and am converting it to turbine with a 22lb turbine and wondered what are your thoughts strength wise on this? Also anyone got CofG info and throws please?

Cheers
