Default My first set of homemade retracts

All components are me except the air cylinder

These are going into an Isobar I am building.

I am drawing mine up now hopefully I will have them on the cnc later this week.

Very Nice; Where did you get the 90 Degree Air Line Nipple/Fitting? (Ah-ha,ah, Bevis, he said Nipple)

Was already mounted on the air cylinders I had. 5 years ago, Don Kanak put out his version of some retracts, and when you would purchase "Robart 630's", Don's Retract would show up. When you called, he said it was the same thing.

Well, they turned out to be crap. So for a while he had a replacement send them back, he'd give 630's.

I had a couple that I tried to get exchanged too late to do anything. So they sat in a drawer.

Pulled apart on Friday and kept the air cylinders. Made everything else.

Nice weekend project.

Tomorrow I am making 635 Trunions from this (below picture) on my bud's 4 axis machine.

Very nice "excellent" craftmanship.
wish I had the tools to do thats sort of stuff, Im in need of a nose gear.
