Super bandit
Hey all you guys out there,
Somone sent an e-mail to my home e-mail address, and I accidentally deleted it. I didn't get to read anything but the topic before it flashed away into the bit bucket to never again be seen. I don't know the name of the sender.
There is no way to retrieve it in Centurytel Webmail 4, so if you sent me something in the past couple of days, please resend it. I will get right back with you.
My Spam filter did not recognize the sender, and put it in the spam folder where I accidentally deleted it.
I just don't want anyone to think I am ignoring my e-mail.
Many thanks,

RE: Super bandit
Jim,
Thanks for getting back with me. I hope that my delay hasn't caused you any problems.
As I read your question, I feel that it is a good idea to be able to remove the tailcone without disturbing the horizontal stabilizers. The vertical fin will need to be lifted up and rotated to allow access to the two panel screws on the top plate tailcone attach plate. See the attached photos for my tailcone. Notice the lead inside for CG correction.
I also think that metal servo arms are a good investment, but most of the metal arms are pre-drilled and tapped, with some tapped holes being a little too too large for a good clevis pin fit. You can buy long arms and drill them yourself like I do.
We don't need any slop which causes surface flutter.
Hope this info is helpful.

RE: Super bandit
Harley,
Was out yesterday raging with my Super Bandit. I think it's time for the new struts. I saw them in action on an ARF Bandit and they work well.
How is everything? Looks like we are heading up to St. George this weekend.

RE: Super bandit
Jim,
Just add the ceramic blanket per the template. Cover the ceramic material with aluminum foil using high temp RTV as an adhesive. Then attach the blanket to the fuselage with the same RTV.
I have painted the last 3 or 4 inches of the bypass tube with BVM Heat Shield on the inside of the bypass tube as shown on page 48 of the assembly manual. I did not find iot necessary tio add Heat Shield to any other part of the aft fuselage.
See page 54 of the instruction manual under the heading of "Hot Section" for additional information.
