Default Jetcat mount offset

I'm trying to mount a P-70 on a jet with center mounted rails. How high do I have to shim the mount to get the turbine centered in the pipe?...the closest my eyeball engineering can come is somewhere between 1/8" and 1/4" on each side Does anyone know the exact amount of the offset in the Jetcat mounts ??

3/8th of an inch will see you fine.

The exact offset is clearly shown in the manual...........not ! Question is why DO JetCats have this offset?

The original reason was said to be to make the mount compatible with Ramtec fans, ancient history now!

With all the engineering brilliance at JetCat it beats me why they still have this ridiculous offset mount, just what IS the benefit .

How about a new, cleverly designed, mount with zero offset to accompany the release of the new manuals ?

Final touches to brilliant engines!

David Gladwin.

Thanks David! I agree with you that the JC mount makes it awkward - at best.
