Hi. I am sorry but I have sent two emails now and both times they bounce back. I think we have a communication issue. Maybe we can communicate via RCU to arrange a replacement canopy for you? Although I did tell Alan today that I cant get in touch with you and that he should send you a replacement right away.
Regards Al

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!
Can anyone show me their Install of a falcon in the sprint. I know there are some
flying with this engine, but have only seen installs with p80,p70 & p60's so far.
I hope to order mine this week, and I just want to see how far back/forward they were
mounted.
Thanks

I will when i fond the camera... it was here now it gone... I can tell you right off the bat that I have my starter motor right up the wood cross frame with the starter wires bent at a 90 degree angle.
Falcon print combo.... A number one!

First time posting here. I have been at the other website (under a different name) and flying EDFs. Decided to take the step into turbines with the Sprint. Great plane, and Patricia has been the best. I also appreciated Allen taking the time to talk to me about the plane while he was in the States. The airframe and main gear are complete. I am installing the nose gear right now, then I am ready to put everything together. I have a question. I have the Dreamworks gear, and I am trying to get the spacers right to center the wheel between the trailing arm for the nose gear. Can someone post a picture of what they did, and did you use the supplied nylon, or did you substitute something else. It just seems I am getting too much slop. Thanks

Anyone else using the Sullivan 3.8L tank in their Sprint? I've found that during certain manouvers, the clunk doubles back on itself and gets stuck up the front of the tank. Can get away with this happening on a full tank of fuel but past 1/2 the result will be a flameout.
I'm using tygon inside my main tank, was wondering about inserting brass tube down the tygon pretty much the entire length of the tank and leave just enough to 'dangle' and reach top and bottom of the tank.
I don't think the pipe in the tube will restrict fuel flow enough to cause a problem.....
What say ye?

Instaleld the Falcon the other day.WOW it's awsome.. LT Dorn1youre right I am gonna love this set it.
I still have to balance yet I needed to order a flat ecu battery to get it into the nose where I wanted it to go to balance.
I have a question does anyone have or make wing bags for the sprint???? wahts are you guys using to transport the wings in?
I don't realy want them bouncing around the trailer while I am on the way to the field.
here is a rough install picture

This is my FOD protection....
Does anyone else's Sprint make a howling/low pitch whistling noise at full speed? I'm wondering if it's an effect of the holes in the wings for the retaining bolts, It doesn't bother me, as it sounds great!
My sprint has been grounded for a few weeks. Had a Nicd short which melted through fuel lines soaking the internals. After a refit, I'm hoping I've got my CG spot on now. I've moved both rx and ecu packs back. I've now opted for just one rx pack.

do yourself a favour , it is only 15 ukp for a Fod screen..
a compressor and repair is over 300 ukp..
you will soon or later vacuum something from your fuselage...

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!
Has anyone noticed a difference when balancing using the "wings off method" and the "wings on" measurement?
I'm sure i'm not missing anything but if i balance to the CG in the manual with the wings on, then using the "wings off" method (balancing on the main spar) it seems very tail heavy.
Would this explain why many people seem to report that they have had to add a lot of weight in the nose, then have to take almost all of it out, because they are using the "balance without wings on" method??
Hope this makes sense

I have the same question. I am also staring to balance mine now. I have 2 2000mah nimh sub C's in the nose and the
4200mah lith ion ecu battery in the center of the tray and it seems to balanced right there. That is the 250mm from trailing edge wings on method.
I haven't tried the spar method yet. I was never too keen on balancing a plane that way.
