Nick,

Not sure what you mean by getting more advantage if the arm was to the rear? I would think it would be the opposite. If you'd screwed yourself, it's probably only in your mind because I wouldn't call this kit 'experimental' at this point...

Nick,
If running a Hi-torque MG servo, i think you will be fine with a 1" long arm or so, after-all the ailerons aren't very big.

sweet guys, been afraid of flutter since almost losing the right aileron on my bandit, and it was bc of mech disadvantage on my servo!

Or Nick you could go to one of the short aluminum servo arms and that will be more than enough, but you could definitely go further from the hatch cover form that and you will be fine.
