Art, Ad, and Kelly,
Just a note to say "Thanks again" for one very wonderful weekend of flying and fun in wonderful Montana. It's no wonder that Marie Osmond asked Dan Seals to "Meet her in Montana". BIG SKY just doesn't do it justice. You guys really know how to do it up right. The F-4 chasing the Mig not only stole the show, it took some of us back 40 years.........how great it would be to be young once again. We look forward to returning again next year.

Thanks to Kelly this years trip to Kalispell also included a visit to a private museum, near the Canadian Border. All of the airplanes in this collection are flown regularly.

Hi Chris
Thanks for the Kudos and in particular thanks to you and ALL of the GREAT folks that traveled to Montana for Montana Jets. What a classy bunch of folks. We had visiting pilots running up to us and offering to do anything they could to help as soon as they arrived and every one had a great attitude. We really appreciate the sacrafice everyone made to travel to a "slightly" remote area given the "low" price of gas and diesel fuel.
We made lots of new friends and got to spend time with lots of our old flying buddies as well. We were blessed with great wx. and lots of great flying. Chris I have to agree with you watching Steve Unze chasing Justin Sands" Mig with his Sundowner Phantom -both TOP GUN airplanes, was a very special treat. A real arial balet-thanks Steve and Justin. Thanks to all of the pilots that flew F-18, F-84s F-4, a Mig 15,Bandits (4) at last count, acouple of Kings, Big and Baby Boomers, Elans and many more. Thanks guys
We had I believe 17 registered pilots
We would also like to thank BVM, Northland Hobbies and the Glacier RCrs for their generous sponsorship. More pictures to follow

Hey Chris
Nice Pictures
This year was GREAT!!!
I have no exact number of flights or amount of Jet A burned but it was a bunch no doubt. We had 18 registered pilots and with the combination of 2.4 and 72mhz there was no conflict of channels so everyone got to fly as much as they wanted to.
We could not have had much better weather or pilots at this event, its going to be tough to better it next year but we will try and pull a rabbit out somehow.
I know the trip to Smiths place was a hit and we can sure do it again next year if enough guys want to. I know more pictures will be coming in the next day or so from Addison and others so stay tuned. Again I want to personally thank all the guys that attended this year especially with fuel prices being what they are. (WHAT A GREAT CREW).
I have looked at the calender for next year and the dates should be JULY 1719.
I will send a PM to you Chris for Smith's mailing address, you are welcome to forward to the other guys that went up if they need it.
Kelly

Montana Crew, YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!
Jake and I finally made it home....what a long drive, but well worth it. I would drive right back tomorrow if the event was re-run this next weekend!
I have a TON of pictures, I will get them posted ASAP.
Thanks to everyone for all the help with the new King Cat and for providing simply the best atmosphere for fun and flying anywhere!
We are already planning for next year!

It WAS a great weekend!! Because the event was moved up a couple of weeks from last years event, I already had other plans for that weekend. I managed to get my travel plans re-arranged and on the way back made the side trip to Montana. It was well worth the effort to make the change. Great weather, good food, lots of spectators made it a great event. Couldn't ask for more.

I bought a new Nikon D80 with a new telephoto lens about three weeks ago and was trying to learn how to use it. I shot a lot of bad photos until I got used to using it so hopefully these will turn out okay.
Steve and Andrew came up from Idaho and did a great job of flying their PST F-84G. Great looking and flying airframe.

As was mentioned earlier, Steve and Justin put their Top Gun quality jets up several times during the weekend and really put on a show for the spectators. Just a few of the many shots I took of their performance.
