Trying to get an idea who's coming!

We are somewhat local, 2 hours south.

Our contingent should have a pretty sizeable fleet, it we can fit everything in the trailer.

Friends,

The 2008 T-38 jet Rally is the ninth time Wings Miniature Aircraft Society has held the event.

We are looking froward to having great time seeing all of our friends. Final preparations are being made, and I am confident that the weather will cooperate more fully this year.

The dates are August 13 through 16. Flying starts at 11 AM and ends at sundown.

I will be bringing my two Bandits and Rocket (my dog).

More will follow...

Can we get a turbine waiver done or fly on a buddy box
we have a friend that has all the time just need to do the paper work

The event will be held at Abernathy Munincipal Airport again. Flying on Sunday will be permitted, although Sunday will not be an official event day. We use Sunday to take things down, and usually, by then everyone has had enough flying.

We will do turbine certification at the event as well.

I'm here in Abilene and have been watching the dates pretty closely.
I'll be coming to watch but don't have a turbine in the air yet or the waiver to fly it anyway.

Will there be display/vendor booths as well ?

I'm not in that big of a hurry, but I appreciate the offer.
Besides, I'm not sure there are that many people willing to offer up jets for strangers.

I was out with Luis and his friend Dario last weekend and they were kind enough to give me the sticks to a Bobcat type conversion.

Sure looking forward to joining the turbine world.

I plan to bring out the Topcat - it's a collector's item! I think I'll leave the 106 and 107 home - I still need to run up the 107 turbine on a test stand, and just haven't had the time with work lately. [:@] But I'm glad I have an opportunity to blow off work now, and head to Lubbock for a few days. [8D] I plan to leave Lubbock late Saturday (unless the Topcat's luck goes bad!)

Did you ever spring for one of those flycam2 cameras? I stil wanna strap one on the Topcat... Maybe I can get one for Waco...

Is Sean going this year?? Should I bring my drinkin' cup?

Hey Ron, I am not attending flying events nor flying turbines the rest of the year in protest of the president of ARCA going to the City of Austin and having Turbines banned at our field such that we can be fined by the city if we do. Hopefully these clowns will eventually see the light and the wrongs they did, as they far out weigh the threat that I made to get a seat at the table. Incredibly, there are those out there that consider what they did OK, and rightful, and friendly like. Some of those will be in attendence at this and future rallies. Maybe if a monsoon comes across Texas I will get over this......

But I will be with you guys in spirit while out on the lake with the Chicks in Bikinis! Have a great time, and I sure appreciate your asking if I was coming. I sure love to fly jets.....
