Thanks to the pilots and sponsors, we've had another great Liberty Bell Jet Rally! Cindy, I and the crew would like to thank all of the pilots who made the event such a success. Enough can't be said for the sponsors who so generously supported the jet rally with a Friday steak dinner (R/C Jet Models, Jet Central, JetCat USA), and the many sponsors of the awards and product that makes the pilot raffle so much fun.

I personally would like to thank Cindy, Lisa, Harold Shank, and Chris McCarrick. I guarantee you, the LBJR would not exist without the work of these folks.

Jay Stout, the owner of Donegal Springs Airpark, had a great time and has invited us back for 2009. This invitation, in his words, is a direct result of how the jet pilots treated him and his family members and are respectful of his property. Jay and Eric Clapp (Jet Central) hit it off in a big way. Jay ended up taking Eric up in an Aerostar with Eric at the controls. I can't be sure Eric, but I believe that Jay has a vision of you owning an Aerostar!

It's been a fun weekend and, once again, Cindy and I thank all of you for attending the 2008 LBJR and making it the great time that it is!

My only suggestion for next year would be for you to outfit Harold at the flight line with a Taser for any one who gets out of line .

Thanks also from Ann and I. We had a great time, and I managed to do more flying than I usually do due to the slightly less oppressive heat and humidity (I guess thanks goes to Uncle Joe for that! :-) )

The walkie talkies at the flight line was a great idea (once we got used to operating them.) It made communications between the spotters and flight boss much easier.

Looking forward to next year!

Yep, a great time as always. Thanks Mike and crew! Even planting my Flash didn't dim the experience (much ). Now if we can just get that guy to keep from setting up his chair at the front of the tent (2 years in a row!), it will be perfect!
