Hi
Ask Wagner from rcjetmodels for help. I have checked his website and there are several Feibao manuals to download, but not for the F5.
Anyway, I am sure he will help you out. He as been very helpfull to me and he visits very often the Feibao factory.

right now I'm attending a several jet events (Liberty Bell, Michigan Jets, Heart of Ohio, D.O.G.S) and my time to do the manual is short but I'm working, I'll publish when it's ready.

Wagner,
I meant, that most jets don't get a manual. [:@] Even more rare, a manual that tells a builder how to install a particular engine.
That's all.
There is no doubt that you would help any individual, especially a customer, as much as you can.[sm=thumbup.gif]

We are working on the manuals of our line, but we have right now 17 different models so we started with the most recent ones working back to the oldest models, all takes time to do it.
Well this does not belong to this thread but the F14 molds are done, I'll post pictures in the right place later on.

Here is the F5 P120 manual, I apologize for the file size that is too big, due to attending the Jet Meetings I don't have too much resource im my lap top to compact the file, so be patient to download.

Hi Wagner
Thanks so much for this piece of information! Its helpfull!
Few questions please:
1/ Is the heat blanket realy necessary?
2. How did you attach the exhaust pipe in the front side? can you take close up pics where it attaches near the turbine end?
3. Same for the tail - How is the pipe centered in the tail inside the cones? The pipe is smaller in diameter than the cones so what holds it in place in the center?
Thanks again,
Zivo

RE: Looking for MANUAL for Fei Bao F-5 for P120
Hi Zivo
I assisted R/C Jet Models in putting together the F-5 Manual and would like to help you with your questions.
1) Is the heat blanket really necessary?
No. The F-5 can be flown without the heat blanket but you could run into problems while idling on the ground. During the first ground run of the F-5, which included range testing and taxi testing, the rear fuselage got very hot. It got hot enough to soften the fiberglass. After installing the blanket and repeating the same test, the fuselage barerly got warm. If you decide not to do any type of heat shielding, do not idle for long periods of time on the ground
2) How do you attach the exhaust pipe in the front side?
The tailpipe can mount in a couple of different ways depending on your type of engine install ( open or bypass). If you use an open installation, the mounting straps on the front of the pipe will attach to the rear bulk head of the engine mounting rails. I have attach photos of my installation. If you are using a bypass, the straps will attach to the rear of the bypass.
3)How is the pipe centered in the tailcones?
The tailcones should have a plywood bulkhead inside them that will keep the tailpipe centered.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Paul. it sure helped.
However, I have found that the pipe end diameter is smaller than the tailcone so it is "loose" inside, I will have to build something around it to fix it in place.
In previous jets such as FEJ F16 or F15 the kit came with a wooden ring that is tight-fit to the pipe end and secures it in place.
Did you get a bypass with the jet?
thanks,
Zivo

Hint.....
You can use small diameter Aluminum tubing cut to around 6 mm or so in length as a spacer around the pipe, the tubing is mounted so that the air will flow through it creating an insulating barrier to the wood structure.
The aluminum tubing is epoxied to the wood bulkhead, the diameter of the tube is whatever is required to fill the space. The pipe is free to slide in laterally in the mount.
Hope this helps
