Default Artes super bee or Jetcat P-60se?

I need a 14# thrust class turbine for a trainer type aircraft for my dad to fly. any recommendations on which to buy? I have two other Jetcats and have had excellent luck with them, they never miss a beat. the bee has a little more rated thrust and lower fuel consumption but the Jetcat's have proven reliability.

So what is the consensus on which to buy? thanks, Kevin

If you can wait, then I would go for a Rabbit; it only a fraction larger than the Bee and will allow you to expand to other air frames once you get past the trainer stage.

I am currently flying a Tam F-16 and a Feibao F-86 and have a JL f-18 coming, the trainer is to buddy box my dad so he can get used to flying jets. the airframe I will be putting it in is a shockjet and the mounts are in place for the smaller turbine. I like the rabbit and may get one someday. Kevin

I am biased but I would go for the Bee, small, light, incredible acceleration..

And then on top you add the lifetime warranty, reliability and the Jet Central Customer Service Ethos and you can't beat them.

Regards,
Rob

Nothing beat the P-60 SE when come to reliable and start up. It just like the Energizer Rabbit. It going and going.
I can't remember when is the last time we pull the pin out of CO2. That how reliable the P-60 is.
Bee pretty good too. That is my second choice if I can't get the P-60SE.

BTW, I told Bob Wilcox to offer lifetime CO2 refill if running Jetcat engine.
He told me there expire date on CO2 it need to refill.

I have both a Super Bee and a P60SE. They have both been completely reliable so I have had no need to require any servicing. There really is nothing to chose between them. As has been said the installed weight of the Bee is lighter, has better fuel consumption and a little more thrust. I would be happy to buy either again. The P60 has a neat aftermarket FOD guard, which really should be supplied with the engine. For the Bee I had to make my own, but I think I saw a post that they were going to be made.

You might consider the PST J800R. It is approximately the same size as the J600R with 8 kg thrust allowing for future upgrade. The engine is reliable at an attractive price.

The Super bee in my Boomer is the perfect combo for me! In the process of shifting it to my boomer Sprint.

I love my bee and you can have if when you can pry it from my cold dead hands!

Tam makes the perfect FOD guard for the bee.

There is also a Rabbit with my name on it in the near future.

I never had a bee, but I had a falcon which ran well.

But the Jetcats have the superior electronics.

My P-60's have always ran perfectly, save for a few pump issues I had this year.

Frosty,
You made my day...
BTW gray duct tape will work in a pinch on the "Mandy" model, make sure to wash her up good first with soap and water, and don't play too rough for a couple of days. It might also go a long way in preventing that nasty itch at the hairdresser. Have you thought you may have a latex allergy????

I am only getting some feedback on the Artes turbine, I have jetcats and have been happy with them. I saw David Searles rhino's at CA jets and was impressed with them and it never hurts to check out other options. I may just buy both and compare them myself.

So why think about buying something different? Stick with what you know and what you trust.
