I hope to join you next April with one of my EDF foamies .

I've been to LA Jets twice, but I hear CA Jets is the bomb and you can really open it up at the Willow!

Gordon,
The Most Interesting Man in the World (TMIMITW) isn't interested in discussions.
He's a man of very few words. He simply makes observations, followed by a quick statement, and it's over.

Anybody remember this guy??????
Just to prove that I'm not just digging up old photos, I'm including a picture of him standing under my F-4.
Thats my cell phone, and he's talking to Duky!
Welcome back Kenny, its good to see you up around looking healthy, thanks for taking the 3 hour drive (each way) to come hang with me bro.
Cant wait for '09!!

Naah! that can't be Kenny? Looks more like the pilot figure you're about to install in that sweet F-4. [X(]
Either the F-4 is that big or Kenny is that small?

It's great to see Kenny back on RCU even thought it's only a picture on Dave's post. Dude, try logging on once in a while and exercise that RCU username of yours. You're definitely an asset to the jet community.

Who is that guy????

Was awesome to hang with you today bro. 3 hour drive is nothing to hang with you. After all you are ... Dave Presta.

I believe the surgeries are all done and I am ready to get back to normal. (As normal as the Cali crew is at least) I havent felt this good in a long time and I am ready to tear it up! I have missed everything this sport has to offer, expecially the bros.

Good talking to you today Duky, we have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks John! You are a class act.

I look forward to seeing you all.

BTW, Is it April yet? [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Ron
CA Jets has always been very EDF friendly. I'm not sure how you're connecting the Hairdryer, etc. comment to CA Jets.
Will the sight be sodded in 09?

Yes, we certainly arrange that. Come over here and we can plant as much sod as you like into your eyes, thereby sodding your sight

As for the site ... why would we want to do that ?

I hear ya gordon.. but it's thrown around hear all the time by guys (hair dyer, dentist drill, foamie)

it doesn't really make me want to load my Tam jets A-4 and F-16
drive 5 hours , spend a few hundred dollars, to have someone bag on my planes .. which I love ... I'm pretty sure it's comments like that that give jet guys the elitist tag they don't like

I know you were kidding.. it just gets old..
I really don't think I'll go to cal jets this year.. I've heard to many guys baggin on EDF's
I'll fly at my club

wait for tams electric only meet

Ron
sorry it just gets under your skin at some point.. think about hom much you love your planes.. I feel the same way about mine

Ron, guess you forgot that out of all the turbines we have at California Jets......the "Engineering Excellence" award went to an EDF aircraft one year. Still sound like we don't pay attention to your "Hair dryers"?

Hey Dave,
No I didn't forget.. and I think it's great
I read into it to much.. looks like buds just trashing on each other...

I'm way over it...

I had a great time last year and everyone was great to me at the show, including you.
You and Kenny came by our tent twice to make sure we had everything we needed
I'm sure I'll make it down again...

I don't want anyone to think that it's a reflection of California Jets, you guys do a great job.
from behind the computer sometimes it's hard to read if someone is messing around are serious.

Edited my post and trying to get the thread back on track
see ya at buttonwilliow

My Bad

Glad to hear everything is cool Ron, look forward to seeing you in April. Just some wisdom that may help everyone in the future: If its trash talking coming from the crew......were almost ALWAY'S messing around.
Gordon's post was from some good bantering back and fourth between myself and Gene (Kryptonic69) that happened at the last LA Jets. We had a ball and it was an inside joke that you would only get if you were there, the result of that comradery was me changing my signature to what it is. I even told Gene on the LA Jets thread that I changed my signature for him....sooooo that's kinda the long and the short of it. Gordon absolutely did not mean anything by it and he was just going along with the Joke between Gene and I that he was there at the show to be a part of. No harm no foul. Your a cool dude, and appreciate your post, I just thought I would let you know where it came from anyway. If not for some clarity, but to really understand that we don't care what anyone fly's its all about hanging out and having fun.
Take care bud,
Dave

Only 71 days to go !

I was a bit perplexed about why Mr Presta et al were adamant about wanting someone in a Viking outfit to beat the gong for CA Jets 2009...

... and then I found out why.

So will a tent/spot rental program be in use this year, in any form?
