12X - best position in case?
Hello everybody,
I have a silly question - my 12X arrived with a broken antenna and I am getting it ready to send back in the new case....How are you all placing your tx in the new case to protect the antenna which seems to be pretty fragile?
Thanks , any pics would be appreciated.

RE: 12X - best position in case?
Hi Dave:
That new case is not user friendly. I use it to store one of my(2) 10X's. I then use the 10X case for the 12X. Fits perfectly with the antenna side of the TX facing the opening side of the case and folded down and 90 deg to the right or left.

Tom, I think I agree with you. I assumed before I got my 12x that the tx would fit vertically standing up in the case. It won't!
Anyone have a decent layout for the 12x case? Show us some pictures.

I agree the case design is not well thought out, but I stand the transmitter up and fold the antenna foward. The foam
in the top holds it secure and does not break the antenna. By doing it this way I could put two 12X's in the case.

RE: 12X - best position in case?
That is the first thing I thought when I received my 12X. What were they thinking? The 10X case is so easily accessible when you want to remove or install your transmitter and the 12X is a MORE sophisticated radio and twice the radio that the 10X is so why fail when it comes to the case???? One thing I am also having a problem with is how easily you can accidentally hit the "scroll" menu on the right side with your palm with the 12X if you are not careful. I will have to watch that. RE: 12X - best position in case?
I just sent my 12x back to horrizon because of a broken ant. When I called them the first thing they said was I must have hit something, very upsetting I treat the radio better than my wife, and no I hadn't hit anything. Has anyone else had problems with the ant. breaking? I love the 12x but I can't fly when it's at Horrizon for service. I perfer the touch screen too, had my 10x for over 5 years and never had a problem with the touch screen. Please don't get me wrong as I said before I love my 12x and there isn't another radio out there I would trade even for. AS far as the case I like it but the case for the 10x fit the radio better. At Toon,Tn. I saw QQ sitting on his 12x case between rounds, maybe that's why they change it. I should have gotten a pic.
