Tucson Jet Ralley
Vincent
Not to change the subject or anything, but did you ever hear what caused the jet to crash this morning (Saturday). I was video-taping it and I noticed only 2 of the 3 gears came up. It looked like the pilot put the other two back down and was turing around to land. In my video it looks like it just rolled almost 180 degrees and straight down. I left after the runway presentation, my son was getting pretty cold. It definitely looked to me like something either broke or he got hit by somebody.

Hi Guys, The crash was like Matt said, it was Jaime Cortez big Rafale. Not totaled.
Sung, provide me with your e-mail address and we can discuss the ME-262 elec hardware. The jet is begging for a couple of small SJ 700 engines or even two 500`s turned down in power. The glass work is very light and would need some strength. I am considering another with two turbos, we are still trying to get the battery combo right, its still a work in progress but it does fly well even in the winds at Tucson.
Here is Dave Fusonato`s AD Mirage.

oops
I thought we were talking about the white bandit, I did not see Jaime go in...I think "go in" is an exaggeration, it just belly landed, I did not see the damage. The white bandit was a total write off I heard
As for mine thanks very much for the condolences, I did get about 440 flights, and I learned a lot about buidling and flying bandits. I plan on applying all of these lessons to a new Super Bandit.
It was great to see my west coast jet friends, Vin, Dave, Mark, Mike, Clay, Debbie, Tony, Kevin, Harley, Spence, Duff, Ed, Kim, Skeet, Rich, Terry and everyone else!!
