That's one problem with the Rafale......there are very few color scheme variations on the full scale to choose from (assuming you want to paint it scale). Also, the colors seem to have a different hue depending upon which picture you are looking at. I don't know if the French/Europeans have a coloring system similar to the FS numbers used by the USA.
I just picked a good photo from an Air Power book and matched the colors as best I could.

Hey Miguel.
Unless you are going to compete in scale comps forget about a scale scheme.... I See this so many times where people paint a pretty looking plane in boring colours just because the full size is that way. The Full size is that was so it isnt seen! We try to make our models to be seen and noticed both in the air and on the ground.
Let you imagination loose. Sketch some schemes, or look at other aircraft new and old and see if you can borrow/ Adapt the colour scheme to suit your model. I do this allot with my scale planes. For me it is far more important to have a model that I really like the look of that to have one that is accurate to scale.
A good example....

Hi Miguel,
I found these pictures from www.airliners.net (use the search engine with keyword Rafale) and via google with words ocean tiger rafale. Via airliners.net you could contact the photographer and ask whether they would have more pics of this "Ocean Tiger Rafale".
Regards,
Joni

Hi Joni, nice to see you here!
That's absolutely the best non-camo - but still scale - color scheme I've ever seen on Rafale.
Thinking of going with this scheme yourself??
Regards,
Janne

Hi Janne!
Well, this latest Tiger Meet scheme indeed looks best so far. How did you guess that I'm thinking of this one?
At least it is scale and has the cool effect. Much better than this current "Aviation Design Demo" scheme which I have.

Now just a little bit of sanding and off you go...6 or 7 yellow/orange -shades, black and grey - easy as 1-2-3. Paint booth is just waiting for your Rafale (don't know if P.M. is reading). Paint guns and other stuff no problem...

Hi
I just finished my AD Rafale upgraded with a BVM landing gear. The camo is approching the real one but not exactly truth color. Because the real camo is a bit difficul to see from the ground.
Empty weight : 14,3 Kg
Ready to take off weight : 17,2 Kg
GTR : Jet Cat P160 SX
The flight is very stable , no trim to set , landings are easy and the gear is "bullet-proof".

RE: Rafale: color codes for this scheem??
Hello Marc.
We met together several times at "LE LUC" and "jet power".
I don't replace any formers, just have to modify them , and after to wrap some carbon or kevlar/carbon between them and the fuse.
See pictures.
See you
Don't hesitate for details.
