Default RE: Behotec Turbines Users

Hi,

I have two Behotec J66HP turbines.
Both are now blowing glow plugs during the start sequence.
Cannot find anything wrong with the ECU settings.
Any ideas welcomed
Brian

I am still loving my 66 - with the projet ecu its fast to transition up and down.

I finally found a kero start J55HP a few months ago in California, and am flying it in my Reaction R54 now. So far, its a gem! Maybe 12 runs on it, hopefully many more this season as our flying season has just begun.

The kero start is smooth and reliable. The Behotec engines seem to be very quiet sounding (relative to many other brands) and dont whine nearly as much as my other 3 engines.

This thread is making me sick.

I got a brand new Kero start J66 from Peter maybe 2-3 years ago, still in the bloody box,
and nothing to put it in.
I'm itch'in to make some noise , , , ,

I think I'm suffering some kind of illness here.
So it sits in the box on that darn shelf, , , ,

I think those guys in the long white smocks are looking for me.

Default Are there any JB55 turbines out there?

Do I own the only JB55 turbine in North America? Hope not. I'd like to find another on to use in a John Saitta ME-262 short kit I have. A line on where another one can be had would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

I've 3 Behotec, two JB220 on my two Carf Eurosports, one JB180 on my Avanti 2.1m.
Using diesel and 5% two strokes high performance oil.
Bought those from Behotec California dealer: ezToys.com
Never had any bad experience with these turbines, very reliable with fast acceleration. 50 hours service time and warranty compare to other Turbines was a big advantage and one of the reasons I choose Behotec.

Diesel is less expensive and less odor compare to Jet-A1.
