Sorry, typo my fault.

The SEBA is Taileron only. If you order standard aileron version you can still use the talerons. Just order the VT pipe when you order the kit.

Jeff

from the pix I thought it was an optical illusion that the engine mounts were canted upward. glad to see I wasn't imagining things and that the big block motors should fit with little difficulty

good luck in florida

Guys, I got a chance to see this bird before it was shipped and it was awsome!! So much detail it's sick. I picked it up snd for it's size it was light. It should be a great flyer!

Thanks Jeff.

A bit confused, though: I assume I can get a taileron (only) version w/ the non VT pipe?

And: solid main tires....flaps? Tx!

Yes flaps as well. The tires are a very thick rubber and are air filled as well

The posted prices are list. You would have to call Eric @ Jet Central to get the show price for FIJR.

Andy.

The design and making of the molds normally take the longest.

First is the design and drawling, using solid works or another type of program.

Then you upload it to Surf cam and make all the changes to perfect the mold lines and size.

You will then run your computer generated tool path 10-15 times to be sure your tools don’t crash anywhere with the mold.

Upload your program to your HASS Mold maker (CNC) secure your aluminum block into place then indicate the height and corners of your aluminum block, select your tools/cutter and push the go button. (Getting to this point can take 4-5 months of R&D) Speaking from experience.

After the mold is finished you install the hardware to bolt it together. Then comes the conditioning of the mold using mold release or Frecoat mold agent. Then heat the mold up to 250-300 Deg. For about 15 min. After it cools you design the composite lay-up and make your parts.

Once you have the process down and you’re getting good quality parts, you will then trim sand and bond you parts together using a jig or other equipment. It will take about 5-6 days to make a 1 quality kit. (Getting to this point can take up to 1-2 Months) Speaking from experience.

Are you ready for one Andy?

CNC? isn't it a cheaper (but still high quality) copy of the Stephan Wurm kit? Did Skymaster change anything from the original Wurm's configuration?

The original Seba mig-29 was the C-ARF kit designed by Wolfgang Kluehr and flown to the world championship I believe. That was a 1/6 scale kit since it is 105" and yes it is very expensive but it has hydraulic gear etc and Seba and his mig are the stars of the single greatest RC video of a jet doing 3D moves that still make my jaw drop in my humble opinion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6y46B6G_3c

Seba modified it to match the real mig-29 OVT and it is the vector thrust that allows him to do what he did in the video. Skymaster decided to design a Mig-29 around the brilliant changes Seba made to the amazing Kluehr mig which meant they had to design something from the ground up. Even if they had decided to copy the Composite ARF Mig29 they would have needed to start from scratch.

http://www.composite-arf.com.hk/ar/L...posite-arf.com

the Stephan Wurm kit is available here.

www.airfighter.de

and is the same size as the new Skymaster.

Email Rainer and ask him. Great guy. By the way it is a great shop and you will find some amazing kits.

Maybe the rumors here in Europe are wrong. What I mean is that if Skymaster would copy a Wurm's kit, I would be sorry for S.Wurm as a person, but I would be happy as a modeller because now i could, at last, build this beautifull airplane as well. I saw the Skymaster kit in JetPower in Germany, and i can say it is a really high level kit, comparable to the Wurm's expensive quality.

Also, the skymaster looks like a Fulcrum C version, with the "hump back" spine swaying outwards.

Where the c-arf looks like the Fulcrum A, with the spine swaying towareds the fuselage.

The second pre-production MiG-29 (model 9-13) was built with the "fatback" provisions. It made its first flight at the hands of Test Pilot V.M. Gorbunov on 23 Dec 1980. NATO originally called it the Fulcrum C and the designers could not agree on just how many gallons of extra fuel were added (16 to 53 guess). The bulged spine also led to conjecture about active jammers and improved ground-attack capability whereas the additional fuel was stored in the modified #1 fuel cell and the redesigned LEX.

Fulcrum A: MiG-29S (Variant 5, Product 9-12S) that continued with production "fat-back" fuselage, small internal fuel increase of 20 US Gal. (76 liters) to 4376 liters (7514 lbs, 3408 kg, or 1156 US Gal) and provisions for two 1150 liter (304 US Gal or 1975 lbs) wing tanks. Total max fuel capacity of 8196 liters (2165 US Gal or 14,074 lbs) with centerline tank included. Possible 4,000 kg. (8,020 lbs.) of stores. Max Takeoff Weight increased to 19,700 kg. (43,340 lbs.). Published max range of 1,565 nm (2862 km). Configured with the improved N-019M "Slot Back" Radar capable of ten TWS target files with two simultaneous engagement tracks the AVV-AE (R-77) "Adder" missile. The first prototype was flown on 3Dec80 by V.M. Gorbunov. The four-section leading edge flap was changed to a five section construction. The improved N-019M "TOPAZ" radar enabled the R-27ER radar and the R-27ET IR missiles which are larger varieties of the R-27R and R-27T original design.

Hi Jeff,

I recently purchased a mig 29 through Kerry Sterner just before the change over to BVM. I had asked Kerry about servos and received some information back. It may have come from you. Since then I have had a little trouble tracking down the numbers of the servos. Could you please send me the suggested servo for each control surface and the torque requirement. The manual and the list I got through Kerry don't match so if I had the specs, I can find what . I will need. Also please include the necessary servos for the thrust vectoring application. I am very excited about this jet and can't wait to open the box.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Denny Drier

P.S. Kerry has been invaluable in helping me through the process of picking a jet and has answered every question I have asked.
